Very kind personal helped with any question. Free parking available. Bus stop 3 mins by walking, bus to Lugano Central every 10 mins. Rooms are clean and cozy.

There was no towels in the room. Went to the reception and got two bath towels. No face towels. I was asked to bring down the bed sheets with me to the reception when checking out! (Personally I was there for a vacation so I don‘t have to think about me changing the bed sheets) it‘s not a big deal but I guess this service should be included when you pay 105€ per night. Or at least write it down on your policy so the guests would have a better expectations.

The personnel is amazing. My bus arrived 4 hours late, they left me a key in a safe so I can get in after the reception is closed. THEY HAD THE BEST VEGAN BREAKFAST IN THE WORLD, they even had vegan cheese

Would be great if shower has a place to put your clothes. Pool had cold water (due to weather). Otherwise no cons.

We loved the territory, awesome garden, nice pool view, you can play volleyball, pingpong, watch TV. There is a possibility to use a kitchen for 5 chf. The staff is great, really helpful! Big rooms, shared bathrooms are clean. The best option with shared bathroom comparing with other hotels/hostels we've ever been. View from the room was also nice: st. Maria, mountains.

There is no one tell u that the kitchen is private and only supply for night inside of the reception.when I go to take my food next morning they ask u should take all the thing go to other space quickly

Stupid rule of removing your own bed linen and bringing it back to the reception which wakes up everyone around you in the process when leaving early

Unpleasant smell in the room. No conditioner. Outdated environment.

Easy to reach from train station, good green area near the hostel (enough space to play for children, pool, places to sit outdoor). We could use kitchen to heat our food.

One older woman with grey hair at the reception desk was very mean and rude toward me when I asked for use of kitchen and hot water. She yelled at me and she made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable and she made me feel that I want to quit my traveling in Europe all together. That was the worse incident that happened to me during my 3 nights stay in the hostel. I will NEVER go back to the place no matter how good the facility is!

A bit expensive and there wasn't the vibes that you can find in a hostel, it looks like an hotel for families and not for youngsters.

There is only one toilet, one shower and one disabled shower+toilet for the entire floor which encompasses 8-10 rooms so this is definitely not solved, especially when the other guests flooded it or stuffed it with hair. There is sink in the room but frankly, using it when everyone sleeps is not something I would enjoy doing. There is no AC in the room so the ambiance gets a bit stuffy, especially when it rains or it's too hot outside. I would have also preferred curtains on the beds which is now a normal practice at hostels, and sound isolation keeping the shouting of running kids is not working, so even with earplugs it gets challenging (plus my room neighbours were the loudest sleepers I have ever experienced anywhere, which is not the hostel's fault :D) and I don't think 5f for using the kitchen is ok. One another thing I would point out is that in our room, there were only 4 lockers for 6 people and overall it would need an upgrade. These are ideas for improvement rather than complaints.

The location, though outside of the city, is quite convenient (unless there is congestion on the road and the buses run late & don't move more than few metres per minute - happened during my stay). I did not get to enjoy the complex because I was travelling around Ticino and Como but it looks like an oasis, especially for families (hence a lot of noise from children, though, I was not expecting it at a youth hostel). The beds were surprisingly comfortable, though used and hard, and a plus is lockers in the room (prepare to have a 2f coin to use it). The room upon arrival was clean. It was an okay stay but definitely a bit too pricy for a hostel to be frank. You do get a Ticino free pass staying at a hotel/hostel facility in Ticino which is amazingly helpful when my SBB day pass was no longer valid. More of a family accommodation than for a solo traveller hostel experience - name youth hostel is misleading so just look out for that in case you look for something else. And lastly, a nice restaurant is opposite the hostel - La Ticinella, do try it during your stay.

The breakfast was too expensive in comparison of what you pay in a bar for a generous breakfast. It was not stated but we needed to carry our own bed sheets back to the reception and with 2 small kids and the luggage it was not easy. A bit noisy in the evening and the parking was very tight.

- Two story hostel room: 4 beds upstairs and 4 beds downstairs, gave more privacy. - Free parking and a lot of space. - Free tickets for public transport.
