Parking is behind the hotel and a small area. Steps leading down from the car park to the side door of the hotel made it more difficult to move belongings from to and from the car. Food and drinks served very well but we found them to be more expensive than anticipated.

We arrived on a Wednesday night when the hotel seemed to be partially closed - no bar, no restaurant and only a side entrance. Communal areas (stairs, hallway) needed updating.

The room was light and spacious, comfortable beds, modern bathroom, good breakfast on patio, nearby parking.

It takes 15mins walk to the train station. but the scene along the road is superb!

We booked 2 rooms and they were all quite big and clean. the bar remained open until quite late, we went to there have a drink.

A bit noisy due to location near busy main road, but it got quieter at night (even on Saturday) except for occasional people crowding nearby from bars, probably. Rooms and bathrooms are not totally up to standard for the rate (compared to hotels in the region with similar rates)

Central location, near bus stop, nicely renovated old house. Inviting brunch location. Nice courtyard terrace with a view of the church. Fine breakfast in elegantly renovated lofty stable. Good bar with bartender who knows his good, also local (!) wines.

Its a little strange that there isn't a traditional welcome desk area, but it was pretty easy to find someone to help check us in! The room was a little bit stuffy/humid when we arrived, but was fine once we hair opened the windows and aired it out a bit!!!! There was no fridge in the room to cool down out drinks, this would have been helpful.

The hotel is in a central part of Altdorf and we were given a large room on the 3rd floor, there was lots of light and the room was tastefully decorated and with nice fixtures and furniture. The beds were soft and after a long day hiking we slept very well! The shower was also good. The hotel rooms are above a very nice restaurant which is great and also has a very nice outdoor terrace and grill. The food was pretty great and also the wine. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Although the hotel itself doesn't have parking we were able to park the car very close by in nearby car park, which was small but there were some spaces, which was great! We would stay here again.

only faults were the restaurant was closed for 3 out of the 4 days we stayed, only a cold continental breakfast is available, and no kettle in the rooms or anywhere to get a hot drink at all of an evening.

The WiFi did not work. The room furniture is cheap and basic. Supplies in the room are basic too (two bottles of plastic water and soap, no shampoo or conditioner, let alone other extra supplies). The windows glasses are very thin (single), the hotel is located near a pub, people sang until midnight and we could hear everything. I was happy we visited in Summer, as with such thin glasses heating rooms may be chilly in winter. All of this would not be a problem, but for the price we paid (EUR 200 per double room) I would have expected more.

The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable, the location was central, the room size was good, the staff was kind. We appreciated the effort to avoid any packaging at the breakfast buffet, very positive!

Breakfast adequate. The bed had an old nylon bottom sheet. The double glazing did not deafen the traffic nor the bar in the street next door where people were sitting outside shouting and laughing loudly until between 2 - 3 in the morning. No private car park. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
