Comfortable room within walking distance of the station in the traffic-free Old Town.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Classic Twin Room

Could have been more food available at breakfast, particularly croissants which were in short supply.

Quiet location in the Old Town, in an old building with lots of character. Very comfy beds. 10 minute walk from the station. No kettle in the room but kettle and tea/coffee available on the landing.

There was a bar at the entrance that allowed smoking inside. The lobby and stairs up to room seemed to be affected by it. There was general off putting feel about the people in the town, at the train station and at check in that made us not feel very welcome.

Our beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

Inexpensive (for CH), cheerful central Chur

The hotel has no parking, being in the pedestrian zone. More information on the local parking would be helpful. I ended up in the Parkhaus Arcus which is a short walk from the hotel (CHf 18 per day in Feb 2024)

Inexpensive (for CH), cheerful central Chur hotel. Old but OK. I was there during Fasching, the night before Aschermittwoch so the old town was mostly closed (it being a holiday an all). All through the evening there were the variuos Fasching clubs parading around the altstadt, playing music, singing songs and drinking. Around midnight a lot congreated in front of the hotel for an extra long sesion and drinks from the bar in the hotel, it was really cool, not something you get to see and enjoy every day. My room was fine, shared toilet just down the hall. Breakfast was also OK (it's not the Ritz but it doesn't charge like the Ritz either). The staff were friendly and helpful.

Location is comfortable and there's a nice bar on the first floor.

A Beautiful hotel in the middle of the beautiful old town

A minor drawback was that the hotel does not have a lift, so it will require going up a couple of staircases. This said, you are told in advance that there is no lift and, all in all, you can prepare yourself for it, so it was not a problem for me. When I arrived, the reception was closed (due to the staff's shift). It felt a bit strange, one must say; but I had received complete and detailed instructions on how to operate the automatic lockers, where my key was.

Lovely hotel in the beautiful old town. About 10-15 minutes' walk from the main train station (of course, it depends on the luggage you are carrying), making it ideal if you travel on the Bernina Express. The hotel's decor and room's furniture is very traditional and beautiful. The room I had was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast, included in the room price, was good and fresh, served in a gorgeously decorated dining room. The restaurant was closed on the day I stayed at the hotel. That was unfortunate, as the menu appeared very inviting (I will book my next visit for a time when it is open!). Last, but by no means least, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It all made me wish my stay was longer!

The room was a bit cold. The heating was on, but it took time to heat up the room.

Well located place, just a few minutes away from the train station, in the middle of the city center. Nice and helpful stuff.

The beds were quite hard it wasn't easy to get a good night's sleep. The TV also didn't work but that wasn't a problem.

The location was excellent and provided an excellent and traditional experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a great place to stay the night! The location puts you in the center of the old city with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The provided breakfast was simple but excellent!

Reasonably-Priced (By Swiss Standards) Old School European Hotel in the Heart of Chur's Old Town
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Standard Queen Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten is an old school European hotel located in the heart of Chur's old town. The rooms are basic, but clean, with TVs and good Wi-Fi. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and most of Chur's tourist sites are located nearby. There aren't a lot of budget options in Chur, so Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten is probably about as good as it gets in this price range.

I think the size of the bathroom for our room was small, but it is a historic building so things will be quirky like that.

It was an absolutely lovely traditional building with a lot of history. Staff were nice too, and breakfast was very Swiss and a really great experience. If you are looking for the quaint hotel in Chur then this is it. The price point (by Swiss standards) was reasonable as well.

No lift but that is to be expected when staying in genuinely old authentic beautiful buildings. All rooms are at least up 2 flights of stairs so not suitable for those with mobility impairments.

It was a shame that we didn't get to try out the restaurant since it was fully booked.

Lovely building with beautiful architecture. Great breakfast with freshly made eggs. Loved the extra tea and coffee option in the hallway. The Chur city pass is very useful.
