Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCould have been more food available at breakfast, particularly croissants which were in short supply.
Quiet location in the Old Town, in an old building with lots of character. Very comfy beds. 10 minute walk from the station. No kettle in the room but kettle and tea/coffee available on the landing.

United StatesThere was a bar at the entrance that allowed smoking inside. The lobby and stairs up to room seemed to be affected by it. There was general off putting feel about the people in the town, at the train station and at check in that made us not feel very welcome.
Our beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

GermanyThe hotel has no parking, being in the pedestrian zone. More information on the local parking would be helpful. I ended up in the Parkhaus Arcus which is a short walk from the hotel (CHf 18 per day in Feb 2024)
Inexpensive (for CH), cheerful central Chur hotel. Old but OK. I was there during Fasching, the night before Aschermittwoch so the old town was mostly closed (it being a holiday an all). All through the evening there were the variuos Fasching clubs parading around the altstadt, playing music, singing songs and drinking. Around midnight a lot congreated in front of the hotel for an extra long sesion and drinks from the bar in the hotel, it was really cool, not something you get to see and enjoy every day. My room was fine, shared toilet just down the hall. Breakfast was also OK (it's not the Ritz but it doesn't charge like the Ritz either). The staff were friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsI didn't expect shared shower and toilet, missed it in room description. Overall the hotel is a little bit worn over.
Location is comfortable and there's a nice bar on the first floor.

United KingdomA minor drawback was that the hotel does not have a lift, so it will require going up a couple of staircases. This said, you are told in advance that there is no lift and, all in all, you can prepare yourself for it, so it was not a problem for me. When I arrived, the reception was closed (due to the staff's shift). It felt a bit strange, one must say; but I had received complete and detailed instructions on how to operate the automatic lockers, where my key was.
Lovely hotel in the beautiful old town. About 10-15 minutes' walk from the main train station (of course, it depends on the luggage you are carrying), making it ideal if you travel on the Bernina Express. The hotel's decor and room's furniture is very traditional and beautiful. The room I had was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast, included in the room price, was good and fresh, served in a gorgeously decorated dining room. The restaurant was closed on the day I stayed at the hotel. That was unfortunate, as the menu appeared very inviting (I will book my next visit for a time when it is open!). Last, but by no means least, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It all made me wish my stay was longer!

CanadaThe beds were quite hard it wasn't easy to get a good night's sleep. The TV also didn't work but that wasn't a problem.
The location was excellent and provided an excellent and traditional experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a great place to stay the night! The location puts you in the center of the old city with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The provided breakfast was simple but excellent!

United StatesZunfthaus zur Rebleuten is an old school European hotel located in the heart of Chur's old town. The rooms are basic, but clean, with TVs and good Wi-Fi. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and most of Chur's tourist sites are located nearby. There aren't a lot of budget options in Chur, so Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten is probably about as good as it gets in this price range.

United KingdomI think the size of the bathroom for our room was small, but it is a historic building so things will be quirky like that.
It was an absolutely lovely traditional building with a lot of history. Staff were nice too, and breakfast was very Swiss and a really great experience. If you are looking for the quaint hotel in Chur then this is it. The price point (by Swiss standards) was reasonable as well.
