Accommodations vary quite a bit (some have TV, some don't; some have a modest kitchen, others just a microwave; etc.) so be sure you understand what facilities are and are not included in the specific room you've booked - the descriptions on booking.com are a bit misleading (not intentionally). And if you are a foreign traveler in Chile, be sure to establish that, by law, you do not pay Chile's 19% hotel tax before you pay for your accommodation. The lovely host does not see many foreigners so there was some confusion about the law exempting foreign tourists from the hotel tax, but once she understood she happily complied.”
