Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandIt is not very central, but we didn't mind the short walk to the restaurants.
The bedrooms and common rooms are organized as complex of two houses. Super nice Hotel concept, where you feel at home. Relaxed atmosphere by the pool and chill out area. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Casa Solcor really is a very special place to stay. It enjoys a wonderfully quiet location, a short 10-minute stroll from the centre of San Pedro. The attention to detail is extraordinary, the warmth of the welcome is exceptional and we had the happiest of stays. The room was lovely: huge, comfortable bed, top-quality bed linen and towels. Private patio with excellent star gazing. Beautifully appointed bathroom. Communal areas are wonderful. Comfy sofas, covered four poster-style beds where you can snooze or read your book, a nice plunge pool with sun loungers. Breakfast was superb with great coffee and freshly baked pastries and croissants from the French bakery. Fruit, cake, ham, cheese, eggs, juice. Nothing was too much trouble for these lovely people. I will single out Wilson and Edson but there were so many members of staff whose names I didn’t get to know, but whose cheerful and helpful disposition added to the quality of our stay. Casa Solcor is very well priced for the level of service it offers. If you want somewhere really special in San Pedro, then look no further.

United KingdomNothing that could be blamed on Casa Solcor or the staff, but some of the guests needed a lesson in manners!
Absolute gem in San Pedro de Atacama. Casa Solcor is just away enough from the madness of San Pedro, but it is completely walkable if you need to get there. The staff, with no exceptions, is amazing and will go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed, excellent shower (great, as will you be full of dust in Atacama) and a very good breakfast tailored to you with a lot of care. 10/10

United StatesProperty was close enough to center for easy walk and far enough away that it’s quiet. The common area is very nice both during the day and evening. There is a wonderful breakfast every morning, ability to cook own meals and free water which is really necessary. Great showers and water pressure. All the workers and management were very nice and went out of their way to make you feel welcome and cared about.

United KingdomNo suggestions.
Location was excellent within easy walking distance from the centre of San Pedro, but not right in the centre which could be noisier and more dusty. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. They could also give you breakfast earlier if you were booked on a morning tour. Very relaxing and comfortable communal area, both inside and outside. It was also possible to organise your own lunch or dinner there bringing in takeaway food if you did not want to go to restaurants all the time. They also offered drinks, coffee and tea all day.

United KingdomOnly one thing - perhaps slightly nearer the main thoroughfare of San Pedro but that is minir.
What a fantastic place - an oasis in the Atacama desert and located 15 min walk from the busy central road of San Pedro. Amazing staff especially Edson & Wilson. Incredibly helpful guys and made us feel very welcome. Helped with rearranging flights and tours. Thanks guys. Will send our kids here!!

United StatesThe breakfast fruit was sometimes past its prime, but that's really nitpicking. Everything was great. If you're making several trips to town each day, the walk into and from town can get a little tiresome, but it's good exercise and safe.
The onsite manager was fantastic. He spoke great English and was always eager to show hospitality. The grounds were relaxing, and I appreciated the free mountain bikes that were available to go to nearby hikes. My wife is celiac, so the gluten-free bread option at breakfast was also appreciated.

United StatesAnt problem in our bathroom - they werent targeting anything in particular (eg nothing in trash can, or water) but were just in general everywhere all the time.
Great breakfasts, very friendly staff. They leave food and drinks out for anyone staying there to have at any time which is great. Location is about a 20 minute walk to heart of downtown.

GermanyWe especially appreciate the warm welcome and the relaxed atmosphere. Everybody of the team was very friendly. In an emergency situation, when our passports have been stolen, the manager Francesco tried really everything to get them back. After several visits to the local police he finally succeeded. He was our hero.

United KingdomCasa Solcor is absolutely exceptional. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. It was our honeymoon and they went out of their way to make us feel extra special. The pool area is gorgeous and very clean and spacious. The whole place has been decorated very stylishly but in keeping with the area. The entire place is immaculate- staff are constantly around cleaning and making it look amazing. The place is set up as a house - so you are able to help yourself to fresh fruit, tea, coffee, beer, wine! We loved it so much we cooked one night and stayed in :) the breakfast is also FABULOUS- I ate the best pastries I’ve tried during my entire trip around Chile. This place is a little oasis of paradise. Would highly recommend staying :)

United StatesThe boutique hotel is very charming. The rooms are clean and the staff- Patricio and Victor - are very accommodating. Patricio is an expert in trips surrounding SP Atacama. The excursion recommendations were great. We enjoyed all of the trips- some off of the beaten path. The breakfast is very generous with many offerings. And the hotel has many refreshments for an afternoon of relaxation by the pool. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the town center but this makes for many peaceful nights of rest.

What a place! It is a little paradise in San Pedro- beauiful cozy rooms, an incredible beuatiful area at the pool to chill out. Soft drinks ,wine and beer in the fridge as well as little snacks all day long. Tasty breakfast. But the best: With the warm-hearted support of the staff around it felt more like home than staying in a hotel: Everyone there made our stay a real 10 out of 10. I would definetly come back. Thanks to the crew for this experience.
