Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

ChinaThere wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.
The hotel is very well situated for major tourist attractions with a tube station a short walk away and numerous eating options in the surrounding streets and shopping malls. Breakfasts are excellent, although the fresh fruit section could do with more variety. Staff are helpful and professional. We stayed for 11 nights and had a ball!

This is our 3rd time staying here. The staff were lovely. Penny at the Residence Lounge was particularly good and helpful. We got an upgrade to a suite, which was so spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and hotel is in a good location.

DenmarkWe stayed at the Suite of a five star hotel, but it did not meet my expectations for various reasons: - The carpet had stains in multiple locations - The Shower was leaking from the wall - The bathtub had rust on the outer side - The bed was so hard, it felt I was sleeping on a piece of wood (it was very thin). However my husband liked to so I guess this is a subjective. But if you try to “fall” on the bed you will regret it, as the mattress will not bounce back 🤣 - The box of food products offered contained expired products!! (I notice the products on the table in the restaurant e.g. sugar/salt were also expired). I complained with the stuff and they offered us a breakfast for free as an apology - We could not swim to the pool without a shower cap and it was not offered, so they only option was to buy it… - The speaker you could hook your phone was not working - The smart tv was not very useful as it was only Samsung compatible and there is now netflix, hbo, disney, etc in China, so it was not usable. I only was able to mirror sound from my phone (via bluetooth) for spotify music. - Most of the staff does not speak english (but they tried to used translation app) Overall, the stay was fine, but not as I would have expected for the price/5-stars hotel. Not sure if this hotel recently re-opened after covid, but maintenance is needed.

ThailandWe were there in February and the air was very dry. The heating in our room was very strong even without 'turning it on' and we wanted to turn on the AC instead but was told this is completely shut down during our time there (Other hotels we stayed in had their AC system on and we could use it during this same period) - so we had to open our window to let in some cool air but with the heating still-on which made the air even more dry. No one in my family could sleep well throughout the night because we woke up from coughing in the middle of the night or from nose-bleeds from the air being too dry. Tried to ask for a humidifier, they didnt have it - so we had to struggle with this throughout our 5 night stay. Not a good-night sleep at all. Just seems stingy compared to other hotels - and for the price we paid. Breakfast was okay... not alot of variety and food seemed rushed i.e. breakfast eggs seemed to be deep fried in large batches - no sunny-side up, which was an interesting sight - we asked the cook for the former and they were confused. Other components also seemed not well-thought out and not of great quality / taste but rather there just to make the place seem full - this is in comparison to other hotels in the same price range in Beijing that we stayed in. Not a great representation of a 5-star Beijing Hotel - cannot believe it is an outpost of the Rosewood Brand - it gave me a very different impression of the brand indeed.
Special shoutout to the excellent service we received from Erren on the Club Floor - he went above and beyond in helping us feel comfortable there! Room design was good we got upgraded to a suite which was a pleasant surprise.

SwitzerlandWe had unfortunately a disappointing experience this time with the hotel. We stayed in the one-bedroom suite. It appeared to us that there is no cooking ware or utensils provided in the suite despite the full fledged kitchen with induction stovetop, oven, microwave, sink and spacious room size (106-sqm) including a kitchen island. We had to ask for pans and pots. But it is not possible to prepare our own food as we expected as the hotel did not have these basic stuff prepared for guests self-catering and there is no dishwasher or cleaning stuff in the suite. I am very puzzled- what’s the point of having a full kitchen then?! Other than that, we had difficulty to sleep well on the hard bed. The service centre tried to help by adding more blankets on top and another thin layer of mattress topper. But did not work- this is very different experience from our stay in 2019, when the hotel was new. Anyway, this is a personal experience. Another negative experience was with the late check out. I was told by the front desk one night before that all rooms are booked and they could not offer any late check out (at 15:00). When I requested the next morning again because my partner fell sick, I was told I could pay for half day more to stay until 18:00. I did pay another 200 USD to stay. But did not feel good with the front desk’s excuse the night before.
The staff are very friendly. We really appreciated the service of Evren working at the residence club. He is very nice person attentive to guests and professional.

NetherlandsLack of compensation for when warm water was down, only after complaining. Pool only available with head cap, not listed anywhere and couldn't be provided, so we couldn't swim. Should be provided or not needed. You have to pay double and get the guarantee money back via booking, instead of just use creditcard. Some smoking smell on corridor and sigaret found in men's toilet.
Spacious, well-equiped rooms. Location good with supermarket and restaurants next door. Staff friendly and decent English.

Guests would be charged the full-amount authentication (refunded about two weeks after checked out) by the booking.com and the full-amount room fees at the hotel - why did I pay upfront if I would be charged again? The actual amount charged at the hotel was 20% higher than the amount posted by booking.com - why did I make a reservation if I could not lock the price? Very unprofessional service.

The restaurant staff was unfriendly, and when checking in, I asked about a packed breakfast on our last morning as we were checking out too early for the restaurant, and I was told breakfast was booked and cannot be cancelled. 10 days before arriving, I enquired about airport transfers with a follow-up email 4 days before arriving. None of my emails were answered. Communication was terrible.

Poland- Photographing my ID card / passport using private mobile of receptionist during check-in without even asking me or piece of word of explanation. I do respect all necessary formalities during check in, but photographing my documents using private mobile has nothing related with it in my opinion. - Too few staff during breakfast. At 9:30AM - still half an hour before breakfast ends - there were more than dozen uncleaned tables. I was walking there and back to find a clean table. - The height of armchair not adjusted to desk, so working on computer few hours was rather uncomfortable. In my opinion there shall be computer chair at the desk rather than armchair.
- Good selection for breakfast - Silent location of the hotel - Very nice service - Clean swimming pool - Good location of the hotel - just 5 minutes walk to shopping center and metro.
