We liked everything! The hotel is in an ancient village of Lujiacun, a bit far from the city centre but provides a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere for guests to relax in after a busy day of exploring. Starting from our arrival all the way to our reluctant departure, hotel staff treated us like VIPs. Maggie was waiting for us at the roadside, with umbrellas since it was drizzling a bit, and walked with us to the hotel. She helped carry our heavy backpacks up (no elevators) to our second floor room as well, which was much appreciated. A fruit platter and tea was served as a welcome treat. We enjoyed the various breakfast options offered, which was made fresh, every morning. Hai-Yan, the other lady whom we met as well, gave us pointers on sites to visit. She walked with us to the beginning of a walking trail to Reed Flute Caves to ensure that we embarked on the right trail for the walk. Everything we needed, they tried their best to help. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a very relaxing stay. It is very quiet at night, and close by is a restaurant where one can try local dishes. Also small street eateries are available around the village during the day. It is a bit far from the city center but a taxi ride will get you there in 15 minutes. Staff can arrange taxi or any excursion for their guests as well.

Great location, newly renovated infrastructure, lovely staff and smooth communication. Breakfast options and services are fantastic as well. 10/10 recommend especially the mountain view room.

Absolutely incredible stay. Hotel room was clean, comfortable and what made the experience so exceptional were the staff. They helped us arrange tours, transportation, prepared beautiful breakfast and also helped us order food to the hotel and packed us a takeaway breakfast. Really felt special staying here. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! It was also very close to the town centre and main attractions in the area.

Fantastic little hotel in a cute village just outside Guilin and only 5 minutes drive to the Reed Cave. Classy, modern and large rooms facing the mountains. Extremely helpful staff that will arrange drop-off and pick-up, as well as Li River cruise at discounted rates. Top marks and highly recommended.

There was no TV as described in booking. More could be made of the alcove and view seating - currently a cheap fold up single chair and small table.

This is very close to Reed Flute cave and an excellent restaurant just next door. The receptionist was very helpful in moving me to a room with view as had appeared in the search. She also went beyond to help me organise a carpool for my onward journey. Lovely quiet location.

Nothing that I didn't like about the hotel.

The room was very well renovated n very clean like new. Very comfortable bed n pillows, well furnished. Everything we need was provided especially the bathrobes that kept us warm during the cold season The two ladies who managed the hotel were extraordinarily kind, helpful, attentive and went on the extra mile to make my stay a perfect one. Wu Xiang help me booked the Guilin Li river cruise to Yangshuo and arranged a limousine to send us to the Wharf. Xiao Hai Yan prepared delicious breakfast for us every morning n even packed our sandwiches for the morning we left early for the cruise. Both of them made our vacation in Guilin hassle free. With heavy hearts, we left the ladies who took good care of us . Bravo, Bonjour Hotel.

Truly a 10/10 hotel. The rooms are as described and perfectly functional, clean and quiet. The staff is super nice and helpful, even supported me in contacting my tour guide and made sure inward all set. The breakfast is such a highlight and feels so special.

The receptionists ( 2 young ladies ) were absolutely delightful. They tried to make our stay comfortable and gave us invaluable information. The only disappointment was that we could not get the 4 star VIP boat seats for the day we wanted, but they made sure that we did get the tickets for the next day!

Superb hosts! The whole team treat us as friends - they are responsive, caring, and always thinking from our shoes. Spacious room, decent design, and comfortable bedding. Bathtub is the highlight. Excellent breakfast - the best Guilin noodles with fresh fruits and juices every morning. Wellness guide - they recommended and brought us to nice cafe and great bath places.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at an Bonjour boutique Hotel and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the delicious halal cuisine to the comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, and exceptional service, every aspect of my stay left me thoroughly impressed. First and foremost, the highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the mouthwatering halal meals (they prepared especially according to our culture)provided in the morning.The hosts went above and beyond to ensure that each meal was not only prepared with love and care but also represented the rich flavors of authentic Arab cuisine. Not much for an issue for me but a taxi ride to the Guilin Town centre was about 18 yuan which is $3 and takes about 10-15 minutes. I didn’t mind at all but other travellers may find this information useful!

I stayed here for 4 days and wow. This boutique hotel was very special. From the beautiful interior design of the lobby, to the convenient location of nature trails, restaurants and other attractions, and of course the amazing staff. The staff treated me with so much care and love, and were so very hospitable and helpful with specific needs such as ordering a taxi, figuring out which tourist attractions to visit or even finding a great place to eat. The room itself was amazing. I had the pleasure of staying on the top floor and the view was just incredible to wake up to! Bed was so very comfortable and bathroom was super clean and inviting. And of course the bathtub facing the view was the main star! Very very luxurious. Breakfast is complementary everyday and Liz prepares amazing traditional as well as western breakfasts. A very good start to the day! You might bump into other fellow foreign travellers staying at the hotel in the communal lounge and dining room, so it’s a great chance to meet new interesting people and maybe make a friend or two! Please treat yourself to staying at this hotel when you come to Guilin, you will feel so welcomed and cared for. Everything was good.

A beautiful property surrounded by stunning scenery. The bedroom was large and had a lovely view of mountains and the village, and the bed was very comfortable (great pillows!). The bathroom was also very nice, with both a shower and a huge bath. WiFi in my room wasn't very good on arrival, but this was fixed very quickly. I was made to feel very welcome, and the breakfasts were not only good but kept me going for the rest of the day. Lujia village is in a great location - surrounded by mountains, with plenty of walks in the neighbourhood and an easy walk into the city centre.

The room was perfect with very nice design, attention to details, very comfortable, very clean and spacious. Congratulations to the designer. In a very quiet location, very accessible from town with Didi very easy to get. Nice view on the karst around. Trip organised by the hotel was tailored for me and I had a wonderful time. Very good breakfast made in the kitchen in front of you. Very helpful staff that really did their best even if demands were not really about the hotel. Very good value for money.

The hotel is located in the small village of Lujia, 4km from the centre of Guilin. This allows having the quietness and the proximity of the city. Regarding the hotel: everything was clean - the room was well prepared (we were celebrating a wedding anniversary and special attention was added for this occasion). The terrace on the roof offers a great view on the village streets. Room number 9 was very large, bright with a bathroom and large bathtub. The breakfast was varied: every day you can choose between 3 Asian and western breakfast. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They answered our questions and gave us advice. They even came to explain to us how the eBike rental works. Through the hotel, we were able to book a day trip with the organization Guilin Uncovered. The contact was excellent. Moreover, this organization offers a varied choice of activities or visit in accordance with our needs. They offer a program tailored to our needs.

The location and the quality you get for this price is awesome. The view - amazing! (Don’t hesitate to ask the receptionist to give you a remote from the rooftop door, if it’s closed.) I highly suggest you to add them on WeChat, as it’s easier to communicate with the front desk by chat. They also can provide you with some tips and suggestions on where you can go. Overall, I will recommend this place to all my friends, when they visit Guilin.
