Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe colour of the room takes some getting used to and the staff don't speak much English but they try and help you as much as they can.
The hotel is located in a hu tong which give it a wonderful Flair. Youre in the centre of Beijing and yet when you sit on the terrace or in the courtyard it's incredibly quiet. It's very nicely decorated and has all necessary amenities. The staff is very helpful.

Singapore1) accessibility We wanted to experience the hutong. But this hotel is located in a very narrow lane (hutong). Lots of vehicles parked on the side and moving vehicles in the lane, hence hard to walk with kids. 10min walk from main road, 15min at night/ with kids/ with snow or ice Many private hire drivers cancelled our trip or dropped us at the main road ( we had to walk in the cold). Driver complained lane too narrow. Locals mentioned we were treated differently cos we are foreigner Palace museum is 30min walk away from hotel. 2) dirty floor. Tissue black when cleaning water spill and lots of hair stuck to our socks. Indoor slippers provided though 3) breakfast Breakfast 730 to 930, but buffet food and beverage ran out by 845 to 9 and no replenishment. Insufficient cups/plates/bowls always. Cold milk only, but staff helpful to warm milk upon request. 4) no luggage stand. We have to lay all luggages on the floor. Staff were helpful to get 2 stools for my parents room upon request 5) slow drainage at shower ( heavy usage cos 4pax) Staff prompt when we fedback. Solution: flush the toilet bowl to improve the drainage flow at shower 6) towels right above the toilet bowl. Suggest to keep towels away from toilet bowl, I'm sure not all guests will close the lid before flushing
1) kettle. Keep warm mode is useful for winter 2) 24 hour desk. friendly and helpful staff( esp yuan yuan). She helped us with palace museum tickets booking and 6seater hire to Great wall. Staff would helped with luggages ( need to carry the luggages through the main door over a high kerb, can't pull in) 3) comfortable matteress/ pillow/blanket. We slept well 4) comfortable bathrobes. Staff replaced daily and would hang in toilet for our convenience ( we have to take out from wardrobe on our 1st night) 5) central heating system. Very comfortable for winter 6) heated toilet seat and bidet useful for winter 7) great hair dryer. Dry fast 8) great toiletries. 9) beautiful garden, kids had fun with snow in the garden 10) lots of power points in the room. 1 can be used without adaptor. USB sockets available. 11) spacious rooms. 2 kids ( 4yo and 7yo) and 2 adults, with 2 large luggages and 2 small luggages all open up, still leave us sufficient spaces to move around 12) A unique centuries old building with modern facilities. Staff mention the building used to be a music school for palace musicians in ancient China.

United KingdomThe traditional courtyard, low rise setting excludes the possibility of having 5* accompaniments. And it is not what I believe the hotel is trying to achieve.
Traditional courtyard hotel with a central location within a traditional, hutong area. Chinese guests are more common than UK ones but that did not stop the staff from trying their hardest to overcome my lack of linguistics ability; really friendly and helpful. Underfloor heating was nice. The breakfast suitably Chinese but not scary and again everyone (including other guests) very friendly. Note that owing to the hutongs being narrow, taxis may be reluctant to take you to the door leaving you with a walk of a few minutes.

United StatesThis was the most nice hotel in hutongs, really build with style, all the details are exceptional, the same as kindness of people there. Staff was very helpful, beyond imagination, starting with reception, security guy and cleaning ladies, also chef who makes us delicious breakfast was master in what he was doing... And both managers are extremly kind and professional... For sure our favourite hotel in Beijing from now on... And also not far from metro, 10min walk max, also didi or taxi can come to hotel (a lot of hutong not possible), so very convinient place too...

VietnamThis hotel is located amongst the popular hutongs in Beijing. It's within walking distance to two metro stations (both on line 5) which makes it super easy to get around. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always willing to help whenever you asked. Breakfast was a delight every morning - we were served eggs (scrambled or fried, your choice), followed by three different kinds of dumplings every day. It was always a surprise to see what you would get - and the best part, they always brought more!! Nice coffee and we even had dinner there a couple of times. Food, atmosphere, and entire stay was fantastic, and we hope to visit again one day.

Near the hotel you will find 2 metro stations. Hotel facilities are amazing! Room decoration is outstanding! Breakfast is simple but very delicious! Unfortunately I didn't ask for the name of the lady & men who were very kind and were speaking English fluently. Thanks to them we felt like at home and they always offer their help. New ZealandThe hotel does not actually do half board they are actually just a bed and breakfast, there listing on booking.com is false and I don't think they understand English very well so quite hard to communicate with them, just don't stay there expecting to get lunch or dinner and you won't be disappointed.
The location was great and the staff were lovely, Thomas was very helpful and should deserve a pay increase, considering he was the only one that spoke English.
