The beds were not exactly comfortable. Besides you had two twin beds and not a double bed. It was still a very nice stay and we really liked the place.

The property was everything we were looking/ hoping for.

The property was clean and in a very good location just a short walk away from the beach and far away enough from the main road.

The kitchen area was just outside the bathroom and extremely small and basic but tolerable if you eat out every night like we did, also a small minority of people securing 'their' sunbeds early in the morning with their towels.

The apartments are in a quiet area of Platanias a short walk from the main strip, there are many quality restaurants within just a short walk. The pool is nice and clean with enough sunbeds for everyone and again is fairly quiet.

Our flight was delayed but the owner Maria stayed up late to greet us. The pool was lovely, only a few steps away from our apartment. We had the superior ground floor apartment which had two bathrooms and was plenty big enough for 4 people. Small cooking facilities available and all utensils, very clean, beds comfortable. Location very close to beach (there are nicer beaches in Crete but it’s fine), restaurants, bars and lovely shops.

I liked everything! If my recommendations are helpful, I woud say - include a jacket holder at the entrance - include a stand for cosmetics and hygiene products in the bathroom Mainly, that's it.

Maris Suites is the perfect place for those (like us) who are looking for a confortable, very clean, quiet place in which they can manage themselves with preparing their own food, as the location does not offer meals. Instead, they have a small kitchen, equipped with the necessary basic things, as well as a fridge and an electric hob. The pool is beautiful and very well maintained. The landscaping part of the property offers a local athmosphere with a variaty of beautiful trees and local plants. Maria and her husband are always there to help, but never interfere, so they succed in offering a warm and homey feeling. I will definitely return and remember this location. It was perfect for us! Everything was great; there was nothing we didn't like.

We loved our stay at Maria Suites. The apartment was bright with both "sun" and "shady" balconies; ideal in the afternoon sun. Everything was exceptionally clean and located in a quieter area of Platanias overlooking the olive groves with the beach about 6 mins walk. One last tip the best restaurant in Platanias, Agioklima was just 3 mins walk away.

good combo , close to main roads,beaches,many restaurants but still pretty peaceful hotel location and swimming pool area. Local cats were a nice bonus that kept us company.

Everything was good.

Good location, quiet, Maria is a the nicest person from the entire island, she was checking 2-3 times/day if everything is ok. The pools are clean (a small one for kids and a bigger one for adults).

The host was very nice, she expected us at arrival with free water. The apartment was cleaned everyday, and the towels changed everyday, the kitchen has everything we need. We've liked the pool and the garden, that offers a very lovely view by day and by night. Maria, the owner, was very kind to us and always there for us for help. We highly recommend this place. 🙌🏻

In the morning, it can get a bit noisy, but I think that everybody is excited about their holidays, so it wasn't a big issue for us. :)

Mrs. Maria was the best host! She welcomed us upon our arrival (after helping us to book the transfer from Chania Airport to her place) and toured all apartments with us providing all the details in a very clear manner. She also helped us with directions, how to get to the closest beach, supermarkets, even a health center - Dr. Vittorakis (we had an incident with a sea urchin... but everything was fine in the end thanks to them). There's also a big parking place where we could leave our 7 sitter van over night. Although the apartments are very close to the beach, we also enjoyed the amazing pool which is surrounded by palm trees, very clean and big enough for both swimming and relaxation. This is actually the main attraction of the accommodation. There are a lot of restaurant within walking distance: Panorama was the best for us (we went there 3 times for dinner, we chose greek salad, steamed mussels, kleftiko and bekri meze every time and the sunset is just amazing), Thimari (very good gyros), Poseidonio (nice fish and sea food) and Angela by the Sea (delicious breakfast). All in all, we couldn't choose a better place for our holiday! Everything was amazing! ❤❤❤

We loved everything!

The apartment was beautifully clean, bright and airy. The pool was divine! Maria and her husband are a delight, so helpful and kind. The location is in a quiet area, very close to shops and restaurants. The restaurants further up the hill, not on the main road, are more traditional and we loved them. We would definitely go back and highly recommend Maria Suites.

Maria is extraordinary. This is the second time we stay at Maria Suites (room 8) and we will return with the same pleasure. The location is 10+, the rooms are very clean, they are cleaned daily. Excellent pool, the courtyard full of palm trees looks great. It's quiet. Accommodation 5 minutes from the main street, with markets and taverns. We will return whenever we have the opportunity, with great pleasure. Maria, thank you for your hospitality!

It was a little tricky to find when we first arrived as it was set back from the main road and some really clear instructions as to how to find would have helped. We arrived late at night and had to ask for directions from a local to find the place!

Great location close enough to the main street with all the shops and tavernas and beach but slightly away so that it was not noisy. Also being set up the hill it meant that we had a great view of the sea and surrounding area. Poll and room kept beautifully clean. Maria was the perfect host and very welcoming and helpful. Her own pressed olive oil was a lovely touch

The location of the hotel is great. Close to restaurants, shops, beaches. Rooms are clean and renovated. They change towels and bed lines every three days. On a kitchen you will find everything you need to cook. Nice swimming pool. I went to Platanias Beach. It is small pebbles and sand beach. It is better to have a swimming shoes. There is another beach – Agia Marina which is a sand beach. But I didn't go there. Sea water is clean and nice.
