We had a pleasant stay at Murphys. The hotel is not that central located, but there is no problem to commute to the sightseeing spots in Guilin. Especially the staff is awesome. You get a warm welcome, good travel advises and the English is super (noooot always the case in China). Would stay here again, if I end up in Guilin.

The receptionist was very nice! Generally a very friendly atmosphere. The location is close to the East railway station (high speed train, around 6min to walk) The city centre of Guilin is farther away, but easily to reach with the bus (35min ride but busses go very frequently).

Quite near to Guilin North train station. it's only walking distance. If you want to go to Guilin West train station it is not far too, about $20 taxi.

The hostel has a washing machine (only costs 5 yuan to use) but no dryer. Undercover clothes lines are there to be used free of charge so it cost us nothing to dry our clothes but it may not work out if you are in a rush.

Very good location. Close to shops, Guilin North railway station and bus stop (Bus no. 18 takes you to downtown at a cost of 2 yuan only). Staff are super helpful. You can ask them anything (They helped us to book a karaoke room). The hostel has a piano, a guitar and a ukelele, if you need to practise.

Great staff, friendly and helpful, offering maps and directions to catch public transport to them if you dont have the taxi apps. Heaps of restaurants within a five min walk with some interesting dishes if your more adventurous. Around 30 mins to the towns main attractions, again they are happy to show you how to get there.

No elevator and a bit far from city center, but nothing that a bus ride can't fix. But it's very close to north railway station!

One of the best hostels I have been in china! Clean, confortable, Murphy speaks English and gives you tourism tips on arrival

It's very difficult to find this hotel. Google maps is useless. You have to call them in Chinese phone number or communicate in wechat (ask about it previously). There is not elevator there (of course it's not real problem for this cost).

Location is 7 min by feet from North railway station. Personal speaks very good English and friendly. Room is very clean and not small, air-conditioner works good. Cost is not expensive.

The owner Fiona helped us a lot by providing various information on day trips and places to hang out. The room is spacious with air conditioning. Very quite at night. Highly recommended!

People smoking downstairs indoor. Only one person speaking English. No elevator, a little difficult with kids.

I needed a nice room to crash between trains at Guilin north station, I was tired and frustrated and Fiona and her husband were so kind to me! The room was nice and they gave me all the time I needed, invited me to have dinner with them + they have a breakfast offer if you want in the morning, it really was a very pleasant stay 🤗 They even bargained at the nail salon for me aha!! They have 3 very cute cats which give this hostel a very homey vibe Laundry machine available on the rooftop for 5 CNY

At night the street was very noisy, people shouting, so don't forget to bring earplugs. Also, the hostel is not easy to find, the sign is not visible from the main street.

If you're coming to Guilin north station it is very convenient location, especially if you want to continue to Yangshuo. People there were really friendly and lady at the reception gave me many good recommendations what to visit, where to eat etc. The overall atmosphere in the common area with piano was nice. It is very suitable place for backpackers. I tried different hotel near by and after that I value this acommodation even more.

No elevator, but the staff helped us carry our bags to our room on the fourth floor.

We needed a place to crash that was close to Guilin North train station. This hotel was walking distance from the train station and the staff were very friendly. The room was simple but comfortable. It completely met our needs.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Warm water in the shower and soap etc. Location is perfect if you are using Guilin North railway station. Owner speaks good English and is very helpful. They had cute cats. Great place for the money.

Very easy to walk to from Guilin North Train Station. Called the host when I got near and he came to meet me on the main road. Nice atmosphere, cute cat, piano in the lobby you can play. Definitely recommend!
