Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWe have been travelling as a group of three friends. One of the beds was not super comfortable (it was nice, but we had better experience during our trip).
Hotel is super close to metro station making transportation easy. It is also located in an urban area that gives an opportunity to have a nice walk around offices and stores. The staff was friendly and they were willing to walk an extra mile for us (we were accommodated earlier than usual). Breakfast was exceptional and probably one of the best during our roundtrip through China.

ChinaThat done people smoked in the hotel even though it’s a non smoking facility………but what are you gonna do?
Location-wise, the hotel is largely in a commercial and government offices district, so is not exactly surrounded by hospitality and other tourist draw cards. However, using Line 2 of the connected subway service (follow the green signs when transiting from Longmen Luoyang Fast Train Station), it’s only 3 stops to Citizens Home Subway Station. The hotel is right behind the Station as you emerge from Exit D. Having this service right outside the front door is a major saving grace, as it opens the city from what proved to be, an otherwise uninteresting location……..and there is much to see in the wider area of this very historic and beautiful city!! The hotel itself is clean, well appointed, with good sized and comfortable rooms/ beds/ bathrooms etc. Staff were very good but there is basically only Chinese spoken, so if you have no language capability, you will struggle. The breakfast offering was diverse, extensive, and a very good mix of Chinese and Western offerings. You would be hard-pressed not to be satisfied! Any other food & beverage offerings are either by vending machines on the ground floor, ordering-in (if you have the ability to do so), or walking down to the local restaurants on ZhongHe St, about 120 m away from the hotel. From a cost perspective, I thought the hotel was at the pricier end of the spectrum at around 165 USD per night for 2 people with breakfast included, but it was a holiday period so perhaps was to be expected. All in all, I was pretty happy with the stay and the experience.

AustraliaIt was winter and they had the cental heating despite it being an unusually warm period. Even having the windows opened and fans put in the room, we felt rather warm at night.
I loved the location of the hotel with a subway station just outside the property and the breakfast which exceeded my expectations. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful. Special thank you to the cleaning lady 代志敏 who gave special attention to our needs.

AustraliaNo fridge in the room.
As with any Holiday Inn Express the hotel lacks character, but is in a good location with easy access by taxi to the train station, grottoes and the old town. Also there is a nice mall a short walk away and a fountain light show 3 days a week. Superior King room (was same price as Standard Queen) was actually quite nice and spacious. Disappointing though that there is no fridge in the room (seriously?). Breakfast was included and although simple a good enough to start the day.

CanadaConsidering the heavy rain, I was a bit disappointed that the hotel did not have a restaurant on site (I got the impression that they used to, but don’t seem to now?), eating a supper of vending machine snacks one evening when it was too wet to go out, especially after I had gotten soaked earlier. The wifi also seemed a bit laggy. The construction near the hotel (at multiple sites nearby) was also a bit annoying, since it didn’t seem to stop until midnight or even later. It wasn’t super loud, but it was constant. I know previous guests had mentioned this in their reviews. Obviously, this isn’t something that the hotel can control. Another point to remember is that even though the hotel is in the city centre, and appears surrounded by skyscrapers and mall-type buildings, these all appear to be head offices, banks, government buildings, and many are under construction. At this point in time, do not expects Starbucks, McDonald’s, or similar chains of coffee shops and fast food restaurants to be nearby. They aren’t. So, if you want a “downtown” type place, with lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and so on, you may want to check out other properties. If you just want a decent place well situated for the train station, airport, and many tourist sites, then this will likely do. Maybe when the construction ends, there will be more services offered...
Obviously, under the brand name of “Holiday Inn”, one expects this property to have a higher standard. This hotel does not disappoint. The facilities were clean, the bed and room was comfortable, and the housekeeping excellent. The shower had no shortage of hot water, which can sometimes be a problem travelling in China. The buffet breakfast was a good decent spread by Western and Asian standards. The staff, despite some handicaps due to language, were professional and helpful. Sadly, I was not able to make use of the tours the staff helped me book through a recommended tour company due to the heavy flooding of Henan province which shut down many of the tourist areas such as the Shaolin Scenic Area, and the Longmen Grottoes. However, many museums and scenic spots in and near the city are a fairly easy taxi or bus ride away. Due to the rain, I spent less time sightseeing, and more time relaxing. If you walk out of the hotel, turn left, and then turn left again, you will find yourself at Zhenghe Street, which has a Dico’s fast food joint, and many restaurants and a convenience store up and down the street.
