I rated "comfort" quite low just because the room temperature was about 27.5 to 29 degrees and at night the thick duvet made me feel even hotter. Hope this will be improved soon.

The warm food in the breakfast was often cool. Keeping food warm could be improved.

The room was very big and comfortable. The location is perfect with walking distance to the center. There are a lot of restaurants nearly. The hotel is located in a quiet place among the busy traffic area. The breakfast is mainly Chinese style, and had many variety of food. There was also some western food. There was a microwave oven for heating food. The staff were very friendly. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Although I got a non-smoking room, there was an ashtray in my room. Why?

Location in nice area. Behind the busy roads there are lots of quiet, ancient streets. Subway directly next to the hotel. Rooms were a bit too warm in winter. Even with a window open, temperature didn’t drop below 23,5 C (plus street noise). I just took the duvet out of its cover and then it was fine for me. As an airline crew member on a side trip from Beijing I don’t have/need a visa, which usually causes some problems checking in to hotels when on a private side trip, but the receptionist took care of it efficiently by making a quick call to her manager and apologized for the inconvenience (none at all). A lot has been said in other comments about the lack of (western) breakfast options, but I found plenty of choice: cereals, yoghurt, eggs, bread, rolls, fresh fruit. And good coffee! Absolute value for money.

The location was really convenient. There is a good restaurant right near the entrance of the hotel and the subway station is next doors. Also the staff was quite helpful and friendly. Hope to stay there the next time I am in Tianjin.

I doubt if they vacuum the carpet... The conference room is on the same floor with the breakfast room and we can smell the cigarette in the hallway sometimes.

Went to the public toilet on the 3rd floor. Surprised that No toilet paper was provided with the paper roll holder inside the cubicle. You have to remember to grab the toilet paper from the roll holder outside the cubicle before you go in.

The location is very convenient, close to the CBD area, and easy to reach by bus and subway. Good facilities, especially with a self-service laundry, convenient for the family

Maid never vacuumed carpet. Never changed linens while I stayed for 10 nights. Breakfast is very Chinese style, same menu everyday.

They provide two bottles of water but all bottles are hard to open. The design of the cap is stupid (anti human - suppose that bottle water air dropped to rescue people….). It’s likely the bottle water not easy to sell in the market ( not found in the market) and therefore supplied to the hotel. The management should investigate the issue seriously.

There wasn't anything that I disliked about the hotel. It provides everything you should need or require, so no complaints from me at all.

I liked the breakfast and the location. For the short that I was in Tianjin, it served its purpose, no doubt about that. I recommend this hotel for a short stay

It was a bit noisy being on the main road.

The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to. Allowed me to drop off my bag very early in the morning and come back to check in later.

The gym was too small, second treadmill not working. Wasn't a problem as a solo traveler but might be for couples or if there's another person using the first one.

The air-conditioner and the shower need to be fixed. It is quite hot in the room during summer. And the shower water is a bit too hot as well.

The cleaning staff is very nice. There is a laundry room in the hotel so it is very convenient for those who want to stay longer in Tianjin.

I have stayed at this place once before due to its location and overall good value. However, the breakfast is very disappointing in my view. I know it is unfair to compare the Holiday Inn Express Tianjin Heping with their Dongzhimen branch in Beijing, which has a great breakfast providing western and Asian choices, but I wish they could work on this. The food quality is worse even though there is some choice but less than in the capital as you might expect.

The hotel is beautifully located next to Anshandao Metro, Line 1, (Red) and is walkable to the many shops, restaurants, bars, malls, and other attractions within the Heping area. You can easily walk or take a bike to Jinjie Street, a range of shops and restaurants. In addition, you are close to Porcelain House, Zhangxue Liangjiuzhai - the historical home of Commander Zhang, and other places, including the Roman Catholic St. Joseph's Cathedral, also known as the Xikai Church. The hotel is also only 4 stops from Tianjin Railways Station, which I found very convenient. Tianjin has 3 railway stations. The room was clean, spacious and with a comfortable bed. The hotel staff were always polite, friendly, and helpful. I would stay again due to the location and good value for money.

The facility is dated and the carpet in the room didn't vacuum well as I saw hairs and crumbs everywhere. You can also tell they were trying to fix some interior finish issues, but the work is poorly done such as caulking with different colors and loose lamp fixtures.

the breakfast is very localized which is good for me because I am from this area. However, the coffee tastes bad.

There was smell of smoke creeping up near the bed area one night and we suspect it was from the guest smoking in the room next to ours.
