Nestled in a tropical garden, an oasis to relax. We had a bungalow with a small terrace and hammock. The breakfast is very tasty, there are various options with fresh juices and coffee. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and in the evening you can reach many restaurants and the livelier area within a 10 minute walk. A flashlight is recommended for evenings.

Great staff, excellent location just a short walk from the beach, the pool area is very peaceful and a great place to relax after a hot day exploring the local town (which is also just a short walk away). Felt very safe too.

The daily room cleaning was very basic. Upon check in there were splattered mosquitoes on the bathroom wall and a giant dead spider on the shower ledge. These remained for the duration of our stay despite the room being cleaned daily. Very little water pressure in the bathroom sink. The room can use a lounge chair to sit on and some luggage racks. We didn’t like having our luggage on the floor.

We loved our stay at Pavo Real. The property is situated within the most beautiful tropical lush setting. It is peaceful and the perfect place to relax. Lots of lounge chairs surround the pool, with easy going music played in the background. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Healthy and fresh options are available. We also enjoyed the lunch menu and found the prices to be reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The A/C runs perfectly which is much appreciated with the heat and humidity.

Everything! Such amazing value for the service and accommodation we received. The facilities were beautiful; gorgeous pool, complimentary breakfast, morning yoga, happy hour drinks and tours organized for us. The staff and management of the property is the best I have experienced in a long time!

The grounds are beautiful and the value for money (at least for the dorms) is exceptional. It is around a 10 minute walk from the main strip so keep that it in mind. The bathroom in one of the dorms sometimes had an unusual smell. AC on all day in the dorm which is rare for Latin America!

The hotel is such a wonderful place to stay. I loved everything. The swimming pool was definitely worth it. I can recommend to eat and drink there! The cocktails are awesome. For breakfast you have various offer. And the staff was really helpful and gave me recommendations for trips and transport! It’s close to the beach. Everything was really perfect and I would stay there again.

The wifi was perfect for everything except for video call meetings. Since I was working from here remotely, I had to find coworking and coffee shop options to take my meetings.

I came here for 2 nights and then ended up booking an additional 2 weeks. I stayed both in the hostel dorms and the proper hotel rooms. Both were great - for the dorm rooms especially though I felt like this was by far the best "hostel" experience I've ever had, if you can really call it that. This feels much more like a luxury boutique hotel. The pool and garden is beautiful and maintained neatly every day, the included breakfast is exceptional, the staff are all very kind and personable. The dorm rooms are very clean and provide privacy and the bathroom is large and clean. The private hotel rooms are also very charming and some have their own hammocks on balconies overlooking the pool. I also like that this was tucked a 9 minute walk from the main street so you really felt like you were in a peaceful paradise, but always close to go out for dinner, shopping or drinks/dancing. The beach is a 5 minute walk away too, so it's great. I will 100% stay here again. I loved the place and the staff. Thank you Pavo!

The WiFi was pretty dodgy. Not very reliable depending on where you were at the establishment. But it worked decently.

Beautiful property with great facilities. Lovely pool and amazing kitchen. The dishes served were divine. Everything tasted excellent. The free breakfast was such an amazing treat. The staff were also exceptionally professional.

Nothing Not on the main road but just 10 min walking away and you get there

10/10 it was more than perfect. I slept in the dormitory and it was very comfortable with aircon and a nice bathroom. Pool, yoga classes and activities available. A tropical garden home of many tropical birds. Very good food at the restaurant and 4 choices for breakfast. Probably the best hostel in my life

Not beachfront. Hardly a complaint though. The lockers under the beds are a bit squeaky and don't exactly lock tight. Again, no big deal but something that could be improved.

The place is beautiful. Lovely tiles and colours, good pool, great rooms, balconies, hammocks, work area and even a small workout area. I stayed in the 6-peiole dorm and it was the best sleep I've ever had (my watch told me so and I felt it). Excellent mattress, the best pillow I've encountered so far on my travels and an additional pillow, which I appreciated. Also, the mosquito net around the bed is great. Again, I slept so well here and want to come back just for that. Also, the included breakfast is great. Prepared with love and attention to detail. The staff on the whole were amazing.

As I said before, as a couple I felt that the double rooms were lacking some privacy, as you feel that people lying at the pool could potentially look up into the room.

Good location away from the noise, but still close to everything. The site itself is really pretty. As a couple I would recommend to stay in one of the bungalows. We booked one of the double rooms first and felt that we wanted to have more privacy, so luckily we were able to change after 2 days. The bungalows are small but very nice, with a hammock in front. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great, with several good choices and their coffee is also top! The food in general is really good. I would also recommend to have lunch or dinner there. Would definitely stay there again.

In the dorms you could tell if the person above or below you was moving as the beds shook a quite a bit, and it was a little difficult to get down from the top bunk navigating the bug net

LOVED my stay here!! It’s such a cute hostel. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, the pool was wonderful, and the food was unreal! The place is very clean and you can tell they pay attention to all the small details as well which I appreciated. It does feel more like a hotel with dorms rather than a hostel as it’s not the most social. But it was exactly what I was looking for with some relaxing time!

Nothing to complain

Breathtaking little get-away nestled away from an otherwise quite loud and touristy rest of the town. Beautiful garden with trees, plants and flowers, and a big pool in the middle of it. You really feel like you are in nature. The common areas like the pool and eating spaces are always very relaxing. Quaint music playing in the back but never distracting (unlike other establishments we visited for lunch, that blast techno music at lunchtime) So if you are looking for a relaxing stay and not a party Hostel, this is the place for you. Only 5 min away from the beach (which isn't really anything special) Simple but clean and very comfortable room. Incredibly sweet and helpful staff, especially Heisis and Yotianis (?) were a great help during our whole stay and always joyful. Great food, with lots of options and decent breakfast, cooked by sweet elderly ladies with fresh and local ingredients. Large variety of tours and experiences are on offer, we choose not to do any of those though.

Maybe that due to the condition of the outside sand roads (floods and road works) it took triple the time to commute which is a pain in the heat. You'll also see signs to the hostel that usually do not work and you have to turn around and look for another path. Not the hotel's fault but I'd recommend you rent a bycicle or moped and do not trust Google maps.

Stunning room, top surroundings, lovely pool, air-conditioning in the room (much appreciated in Palomino's heat and humidity) and the sweetest staff. We liked it so much we ended up extending. We had a small issue but they immediately solved it so that deserves a ++. I'd highly recommend.

Just loved everything about this hostel. I’ve travelled a lot and without exaggeration this is one of the most beautiful hostels I’ve staid in. The food is excellent and healthy and everything is just beautifully designed and comfortable. I found it hard to leave after one week.

Bit pricey but still okayish:)

Liked absolutely everything. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and the rooms spacious, clean and in a good condition. The private hammock is cool and the warm shower definitely appreciated, even if it’s hot outside ;) The staff is super nice, supportive and always interested in a little chat, felt so welcome! 10/10 experience!
