The AUDACITY of this hotel to put ‘shared kitchen’ as one of the facilities - do not under any circumstances book this place if you want to even prepare a sandwich, never mind cook, in the shared kitchen. The pots and pans haven’t been replaced since the 1870s, and the fridge had a bag of rotten food in it - so rotten it seemed it hadn’t been cleared out in months. The rooms were clean, however they were extremely old and tired, and smelled really strongly of damp/mould. We asked to move rooms after we were given one that smelled disgusting and didn’t match the photos of the room we had booked, we were shown two more, one worse (!!) than the initial one and one much much smaller (with just about space for a double bed), however didn’t smell as strongly of damp, so we took it. Having seen 3 rooms in total, none matched any of the photos shown on the listing, so be aware of that. It’s noisy - doesn’t usually bother me but you really can hear all the other guests full on conversations in the communal area when inside your room. We left a night early.

Fabulous location in the heart of Gethsekani. At night the street is pedestrian only. Restaurants on all sides and within one block Laundry service impeccable and wothwhile

The cleanliness of the place is unacceptable, and despite being moved to a different room by the receptionist, the new room also had poor cleanliness standards. Notably, there was a chewing gum stuck to the painting above the bed, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning.

The location only, but not worth it bearing in mind the poor condition of the accomodation.

Perfect location, right in the center of the city, close to the walled city, but also many restaurants, bars, stores, money exchange locations and farmacies around.

- we had a room street sided; it’s very noisy, the window (single glass) does not reduce any of the sounds from the streets (samba band played till 2am in front of the hotel) - there is a open connection between the hotel room and the hall (see pic), which makes it even more noisy - the interior of the room is not nicely finished; it looks very old, and could use an upgrade!

Location is perfect, in the middle of Getsemani, close to many bars / restaurants etc.

Room didn’t have a window so was very dark. Arm con was right over the bed which made it freezing as you couldn’t change the settings. The room we were given wasn’t the room we booked

The room was extremely small. No windows. We passed a terrible night, we couldn't breath due to the smell of mold and there was no air and the AC worked in a strange way. The walls were not real walls but a plastic structure so we listened all the rumors of the people coming and going all night long, at least till 4.30am! The staff however was so kind to invite people chatting loudly at the courtyard to leave.

Position, reception.service 24 hours and they kept our luggage after check out.

Very noisy and people trying to open your room in the night. Had to change room due to all the noise, but the supposed “more quiet” room was ever worse facing the street + no windows that could close. Felt like sleeping in a night club (I even asked for a quiet room and they confirmed when I did the reservation). The beds where so dirty, they tried to change the bed but most of the sheets in the locker was full of hair, crumbs and stains… also a lot of mold in both rooms, did not feel healthy also smelled very strong. Black hair all Over the bathroom floor

Great location tho and beautiful house with nice patio. Would work if you are planning to get drunk 24/7 and pass out in the night

Amazing location and stunning interiors in the hostel. Very beautiful place to spend a few days in Cartagena. Room had the necessary. Very good value for money.
