It's quite difficult to get out of the place, you need to book a private car, pick up or van and its not quite cheap, a trip to sant marta airport cost 300 thousand COP, so if you go alone yo will need to find a partner to split the expense.

Prices for food are affordable even though this is a placee where normally foreign people stays, breakfast is really good, sea water is not the best (muddy water) but beach is really calm, perfect to relax, read a book or get a tan. On weekends there is a live DJ on friday and saturday so be prepare for the noise.

We had no wifi in our room, but that really isn't a big deal. They lost power for about 20 minutes one evening, also wasn't a huge deal. We had that happen in a couple hotels around Colombia.

Everything went well! we had a private bungalow and it was probably the best private room we had our whole 3 week trip! Large with an inside hammock and an outdoor daybed and shower! (also an indoor shower as well but the outdoor one was a nice added touch to get all the sand off. They have their own private beach so no one trying to sell you bracelets or magnets! The pool is amazing too if you dont want to deal with sand. I read a bunch of reviews saying the food was not great but I have to disagree, the food we had was very good! they even had a wood fire oven for the pizza!

We had a great stay at Viajero Tayrona with some friends and Richard, David, Mateo and the rest of the Viajero Team were very helpful and friendly at all times. Great location and very nice facilities.

I was eaten alive by mosquitos every night.

After 2.5 weeks of serious, heavy traveling, this was the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. The staff were super helpful and I met lots of cool people. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We loved staying here! The whole place is beautiful and the rooms/dorms are kept clean and look great. The food here was surprisingly good and the breakfasts were delicious. Thanks to Lin and Jessica at the reception in particular for being very accommodating to any questions we had. If I’m ever back in the north of Colombia any time soon, I would stay here again 100%.

- too noisy for my taste. No-stop music from noon until midnight. Not ideally if you wanna go to sleep early and have a proper rest. Not described on booking.com and I found out once on the spot and I didn't read properly all the reviews. Dorms are next to the pool and you can feel the music inside as there are no windows. - limited food choices and a bit pricey for local standard

- location is stunning, wild and empty - the staff is amazing, especially Lilu from yoga/pilates classes - female dorm is cute and safe - overall a clean place (but a lot of cigarette butts in the sand) - easy to reach by public transport from/to the airport (2 busses, about 1, 5h trip)
