Positive section of review
Modern and clean apartment for travellers. Kitchen has many amenities. The small market inside is great idea for wine or some groceries you need. I was Solo travelling to Foz do Iguaçu and had a comfortable stay. I was glad to have a washing machine, coffee pod machine, good A/C and I used the main TV to stream YouTube from my phone as I only speak English. Renata was a good host and we communicated via WhatsApp when I had questions. She allowed me a late check out to match my flight from IGU. It was nice to have a large place after ten day in tiny hotel rooms. I recommend staying here.

The dogs up the street bark a lot and roosters start at about 4am. I used ear plugs but I was getting up early to do the falls so it didn’t bother me too much. The TV wouldn’t stream Netflix or let me sign in. YouTube streaming works but it’s constantly freezes up. If the owner invested in an Apple TV box for the TV it would be great for travellers, especially English speaking. Minor recommendation would be to add the Coffee Pods for sale inside the apartment. But the supermarket is close anyway.

The location is premium just between both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Great restaurants, shops in the streets that run between booth beaches. 12 min walk to the subway (metro) Orange line which is handy. The rooftop area is great for a drink at sunset with a fantastic view ton the left of Copacabana beach. Good area for sunbathing also on the few beds provided.

They advise you can check in early but this didn’t happen and I saw many others waiting for hours. I waited 6 hours. But I should have booked another night band just paid. In fairness this was online with the stated check in time. The pool is tiny and a plunge pool. The water didn’t look clean to me and I gave it a miss. The gym has no room to workout and no benches to use free weights. The room was tiny but it was clean. The shower head was terrible and needs to be replaced. The bathroom walls were run down and wall paper pealing in areas. I’m being critical because they state 4*, but it’s really a 3* hotel. If you can get it cheap then the location is great but if your after luxury then go next door to the Fairmont $$$ etc.

My room had a tad of a damp smell. Also, they don't do laundry, so you have to go to a launderette (which means losing quite a few hours between washing and drying).

Anything you ask for is too much. We ordered food online, they tried to scam us ( third party ) eventually they delivered the food hours later when we were away. The only thing we asked for was: Please could you put it in our fridge. The answer was we do not do room service. Just a small detail nothing major. The aircon lived it's own life. The first few nights was good, like artic temperatures. Exactly what the aircon is meant to do. Then it just started to do it's own thing. Switch on and switch off. It would not cool the room down etc. Bathroom gets really hot and no good ventilation
