Was in a great location just off the Main Street in the town. The room I had was beautiful. Surprisingly, big. Everything you need was in there and the bed and pillows were so comfortable which isn’t very often the case when staying away. The owner Corinne was great. I got there a bit early due to the train, asked if I could check in early and it was no problem as my room was ready. Would definitely recommend

The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was informal, friendly and efficient and a concern for guests was impressive. Breakfast and dinner were a delight and an open fire in the bar added greatly to the overall relaxation of our stay.

Excellent budget hostel. Clean, friendly and good tranquil location. Great value for money. I liked the common room with fridge, microwave etc. Also lounge with free pool table.

The single wooden beds are very basic and creaky with economy mattresses. So although I was satisfied, it may not suit everyone. Remember it is a hostel so it’s for overnight travellers.

Good location. Nice, separated rooms. We had issue with the lockbox but we got immediate help from the host. Nice host.

Property has gone downhill and is really shabby, carpets covered in stains, curtain rails hanging off, marks on furniture, layers of dust on the lights and a smell of sewerage in the bathroom, springs coming through both mattresses and not comfortable, went to the roof terrace bar where the furniture was very old and shabby and the decking was damaged causing a trip hazard, could do with a good update and rooms renovated

I think the moment a toilet (probably from a upper floor) is flushed the pipes will keep making very loud bubbly sounds making one feel uncomfortable especially if you’re struggling to sleep
