We booked this hotel for an evening before starting a cruise the location is great and close to the terminals. The room was large , extremely comfortable, and clean. The concierge and front desk were very helpful. We arrived very early, and the room not surprisingly wasn't ready, so we were able to leave our luggage which was delivered to our room when we got back later which we found had been upgraded and had a small balcony. We tried the bar Leo's and had dinner in the Marco Pierre White restaurant and it was delicious, great staff there too. I would definitely recommend and stay again when in the area.

The Penkelie

The room was quiet and comfortable. Little thoughtful things like a small fridge, safe and hairdryer made the Penkelie outstanding value. The location is very close to the Promenade in one direction, and in the other direction you have Lord Street with shops and the Atkinson museum a short walk away.

The location was superb. Staff were absolutely amazing and could not do enough for you. The food was excellent. Very friendly small hotel, but what a place view's from dining and breakfast area were outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location with great views across ths bay. Staff were amazing. Moses and nina both provided an amazing and friendly service around the bar/ restruant area, and the receptionist was also awesome.

Hotel quite dated and the food was basic. Could do with usb sockets in rooms. Got an upgraded room as the electrics kept tripping in my room.

The main building was purpose built about 3 years ago. The restaurant is a converted barn and both are beautifully decorated. The rooms were comfortable if a little small.

Unfortunately I booked into the White Lion as I was having surgery the next day at a nearby hospital and needed to stay near by . I checked the website for any events that were taking place as I wanted a quiet night . It says there are musical events on Fridays and Saturdays but on Thursday when we stayed it was music and bingo which was very load and kept us awake until midnight and we couldn’t even hear the TV over the music
