I've now been to Main Stream Beach Villa several times this year and today I want to highlight what is probably the best meal I've had at the lake - their grilled butterfish!

Food was great as was the location. The rooms were also spacious and very comfortable with both bathtub and shower plus other services such as mini fridge, kettle etc

The staff were very pleasant, however not very competent, forgot/delayed/misunderstood orders, were a bit overwhelmed at the reception desk, housekeeping requests not acted on promptly, The hotel needs to invest in staff training.

It is clean, comfortable, perfect for 1-2 nights or for a business trip. It is well located and the staff is very friendly.

My room was a bit dark despite having a window and the window did not have an interesting view, it faced some water tanks. There is potential to make useful the windows while keeping the privacy of the guest.

On arrival, even after showing the receptionist my booking, she said we don’t have available rooms. Kindly advise how if I had a booking. After further probing, I was offered a room.

The road leading up to property is disappointing as dirt road is very uneven. Menu is not extensive for vegetarians and the vegetarian dishes are mainly Indian.
