Positive section of review
This was our second stay. The hotel is a charming, calm oasis, very close to the palace and a ten minute walk to the pier and ferries. There is great eating to be had in the neighborhood. The rooms are situated off a courtyard, and are clean and comfortable. Best of all, the owner, Em, is a lovely fellow who did a lot to make us feel at home, and oriented and helped us on both our visits.

Very spacious and comfortable room, wide and comfortable bed, large balcony, great sea view. Quite decent restaurant at the hotel, fast room service, helpful staff, friendly reception. The room was cleaned daily, there were never any questions about the quality of cleaning.

Very difficult climb to the 4th floor. Because of the heat it is doubly difficult. Lift or escalator would not be superfluous, but we coped, though for a fortnight of rest we ran enough))

The location was a little off the beaten track. We had asked for twin beds but they weren’t available. The shower was over the bath and leaked over the floor.

Cafe not open on Saturday and Sunday and was not told till I paid. Not near to any eating places The lobby was messy with construction materials. Staff were not helpful or polite. Water pressure was very weak There was and Indian function and the Indian music was very loud and long.
