We loved the beautiful surroundings and how everything was so clean. People were really friendly:) we loved the restaurant and the servers. The cabin was cute but the lighting in the bathroom was really bad. The mattresses where ok and there where some opening from the logs and door where insects could enter. But overall we really liked it and would come back again:)

    Nothing! Everything was excellent.

Great location out of town. Perfect for nature. Loved being surrounded by wildlife and being woken by howler monkeys. We even had a resident sloth! Lovely cabins - very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Views of wildlife were exceptional. The property maintains forest that is part of a corridor to the larger protected forest on the volcano well as gardens and water features, all which serve to support high biodiversity. It’s a gem for any nature lover.

There were holes in the mosquito nets, resulting in many insects coming through during the night

Great base to explore the area of the Arenal volcano. The wooden cabins were charming and rather comfortable. The breakfast with view on coloured birds was incredible

The bathroom was a bit outdated.

Very private and cute house, with a little patio. The restaurant is good and the best option in the area (which is very touristy!) bonus: it has a lot of birds visiting!

Some repairs to the bungalow could be made, but the rustic nature of the room did not detract from the enjoyment of my stay. There are so many positives that it wasn't an issue for me, the value was great.

The staff was amazing, the grounds were beautiful and location was convenient. I know this may seem trivial, bet the water pressure in the shower was perfect. I've had stays diminished by poor showers in the past, a good shower is very important to me.

    see above

scrambled eggs were not edible. it would be nice if they offered a fruit bowl or granola for breakfast. Or French toast. Yeah breakfast was so subpar lunch was white rice instead of brown rice that could be improved. The seafood chowder was good but needed some vegetables. The vegetable soup was was pretty terrible like bouillon, dissolved in water without much else.

Lovely bungalow in a beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle. Several tours are organized in the trail which surrounds the lodge, which is very convenient. The bungalow is well equipped, secured and protected from insects. Breakfast is amazing and the restaurant in general has great food and a view of many different birds and animals. Staff are very kind and helpful.

Nothing really. Note to others, this is a rainforest setting so if you dislike mosquitos when outside or struggle with the damp, this may not be for you,

For those who love nature, this was an excellent place to stay. We loved listening to the Howler monkeys over our roof and watching the birds in the morning. Great to wander round the gardens and grounds in the morning. Even got to see the resident Sloth on the very tops of the tree. Food was very good and reasonable price. The night tour was excellent ( saw all kinds of colourful frogs, and snakes etc) It was a very peaceful place to stay and we were really happy to be here rather than town. Despite being in the rainforest, our room was free from bugs and very comfortable. Beds were excellent

Individual cabins were so cute! Clean and comfortable room. We loved that we could hear the howler monkeys in the surrounding forest. Staff was very nice and accommodating, helping us with a botched reservation at an attraction and helping us book another tour.

Lighting in the bathroom was dim.

Having free breakfast each day was wonderful. We loved watching the birds during breakfast. We enjoyed the hike and tropical garden on the property. Having the night hike at this location was convenient. Staff was super friendly, and we especially enjoyed our conversations with Alan in the restaurant who helped us learn about the culture and language.

Beautiful setting full of wildlife tucked away from the busier parts of the La Fortuna/Arenal area, while still close enough for area attractions to be accessible on foot or a short car ride/taxi away. (Highly recommend the North Fields coffee and chocolate tour next door.) Great little restaurant that surprised us with its good value relative to options on town. All hotel staff were lovely and beyond helpful. A hidden gem in this area, for sure!
