It would be great to have coffee available, even if for a fee, because this is not an urban location with easy access to coffee shops.

Absolutely gorgeous! Very comfortable room with a/c when needed, though the breeze through the windows was often enough. The pool area is a little paradise, full of trees. And it’s tranquil due to the small size of the property (I think there are 8 rooms). If you don’t have a car (I didn’t), the bus is clean and comes every 30 minutes. It’s just 10 minutes to either Quepos or Manuel Antonio.

Good experience, the location was in close proximity to many things. Parking was clutch. Host was nice. The place was a bit quieter than I expected but its probably because we went near the end of tourist season.

The room we had was quite small. I know that we had the smallest room, so this should not be an issue with the other rooms. But the room was very clean and comfortable.

The setting exceeded our expectations. The pool area is exceptional, very private and comfortable. The hosts are extremely nice and the breakfast was quite good. The entire place was extremely clean. Lastly, it was a great value and we would return!

    That I had to leave!

I cannot use enough superlatives to describe how delighted my wife and I were staying at the Coyaba Tropical Elegant Adult Guest House. The grounds were tastefully decorated, the lighting at night was pleasing and relaxing, the pool - though smaller - was very nice, the bed was super-comfy and the music that was played (not too loudly) during the day and early evening was soothing and enjoyable. However, the hosts - Mike and Paul - were the best part of our stay. What wonderful down-to-earth persons! The breakfasts served each morning were excellent and included fresh local fruit. Overall, they were great hosts, helped us work through some transportation / travel issues and were so kind to us in so many ways that they made our first visit to Costa Rica a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend staying here!!

The hotel was so comfortable and looked amazing! Very unique and homey at the same time. I love this stay so much. Great location! The bus to Manuel Antonio/Quepos is right out front and there are a couple restaurants close by. Since it's between Manuel Antonio & Quepos, it was really easy to travel to both areas. There is a beach that is a 25-minute walk (definitely a hike) and a great sunset view that's about a 10-minute walk. The breakfast was so delicious! Homemade bread, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and breakfast of the day. The owners provided great service and were easy to communicate with. I hope to be back soon!

Everything was great. Nothing negative to say.

This hotel is a lovely oasis to come back to after the activity of the day. The owners are lovely and they keep the whole place spotlessly clean. They live on the property, so are able to assist or respond immediately. The breakfast was great. The rooms are great. The grounds are lush with a relaxed, elegant vibe. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was fine and could not really find fault with it. It was close to the road but once inside you couldn't hear it and did not affect our stay. One thing you need to be aware of (not related to the hotel) is that the Manual Antonio National Park has had its max number of visitors reduced from 3000 to 1300 per day! When we got there no tickets were available for the next 3 weeks!! And this was the low season! You will need to book on-line well in advance on the National Park webpage if this is on your to-do list. However, despite this set back it didn't affect our time there as there is quite a lot to fill your time and nature seems to come to you, for example we came across a small group of Macaws (Guacamayas) in the downtown area!!

This guesthouse is beautiful little place just off the main road and is run by two ex-pats from Canada and Jamaica, Mike and Paul. There are perhaps 8 rooms. Breakfast is available on request and is a good size with fruit, juice and main plus bread made on the property. The common area is well set out with a small pool and water feature. It is close to the forest and we had a monkey come by on our first day while we had breakfast! The staff are friendly and helpful (including the cleaner/gardener if you are a Spanish speaker) regarding local sights and eating places etc. There is good WiFi throughout but no TV, which for us is a plus! We did decide to stay an extra day which we were able to sort out after we arrived and wasn't planned and used the extra day to visit the Nauyaca waterfalls which is definitely worth the trip if you have a car but you need to get there before last entry at 2pm as it closes a 5ish. There is a 4 o 5 Km walk or you can take a 4x4 from the entrance there and back for an additional cost.
