Property was a little dated and needed some updates. We were really disappointed with the quality and quantity of food being served in the buffet and à la cart restaurants.

Quality of the food - except for the buffet restaurant, which surprisingly served the most flavorful food, all a la carte restaurant disappointed both in terms of flavor, service and selection. Service was often slow, not very accommodating and sometimes even rude, noisy and disrespectful - I heard them making comments about guests when they did not except us to understand Spanish.. Despite mentioning our honeymoon several times, there were zero accommodations or gestures made to make us feel like this resort was welcoming honeymooners. Plastic pollution - we picked up 6 handful of zip ties that were lying around at the beach - when we made management aware of the issue they apologized but not sure they actually understood our concern about the pollution, rather than cleanliness of the beach.

This hotel has a big feel, it is not very personal and you feel like the hotel is trying to make money from you where ever they can, lots of trips pushed on you, paying for sun loungers, paying for a privileged pool, the hotel is marketed as not requiring booking for restaurants yet tables are booked in advance somehow and then you have to wait even if you arrive before opening time! Also when we visited there were a number of big corporate event which seemed to take over the whole complex. Also the not catered well for vegetarians.

Hotel has great pools and beach it’s in a beautiful setting the location although a 2-3 hour journey from the airport is worth the travel, secluded beaches and surrounded by nature you literally are in the middle of the jungle. You feel you have visited the best of Costa Rica while in an all inclusive due to the surroundings!

Food service at all locations (restaurants, pool/beach side, etc) could use more staffing. Make reservations or plan ahead for everything.

I would’ve preferred if there was a proper division between the bathroom and the bedroom, which are separated by just a curtain. For the price of the rooms it would’ve been nice to have bathrobes and body lotion.

Amazing resort, the grounds are beautiful and spacious, so many different areas to enjoy, lots of activities too. We loved the morning yoga (the instructor was so good), the snorkelling and the water gymnastics. The sunsets at the beach were wonderful. The children loved the kids club which was excellent, they offer a 12 hour service, the activities are fun and varied and the girls that run it are very friendly and professional. We actually found all the staff at the resort outstanding, hard working, lovely and welcoming, thank you so much! Food and drinks were of great quality, and having a choice of restaurants meant we never got bored, which can sometimes happen in all inclusives. We had the best time.

It's a little bit of a hike from the airport but well worth it. They are in the process of fixing the roads, even after 1 week, they were much better. More umbrellas around all the pools would be helpful. It would also be great to umbrellas available for the beach.

We were incredibly pleased with Dreams, we would absolutely stay there again. Unlike other reviews, we thought the food was wonderful, especially if you like seafood. There were plenty of options. The staff was great! The pools were endless and the beach was quiet.

Beach was a little small and too many vendors right in front of beach entrance. Also it’s so far out of the way. Food was okay but nothing blew my mind. Would’ve liked healthier local food options instead of locals making unhealthy american-style meals. Drinks were good, especially strawberry daiquiris, but mojitos need work! Too limey and inconsistent taste at each bar location. The room design is strange with a curtain separating the bathroom/shower/sink area from the beds. I stayed with a friend so it was a little awkward. I also wished the floors were the same tile as shower as I slipped and fell, landing on my knee on the slippery tiles. Not sure the purpose of a tub outside on patio. Better if had jets or something 🤷‍♀️
