Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaA suggestion is to have the lights working going up the path & maybe a small mirror in the room. Just wished the pool was working but understand it needed some adjustments.
The setting is amazing!! Loved being in the jungle even thou there were houses around they were still far enough to fell at peace & serene. The domes are so amazing & Mr. Tomaselli is a wonderful host. We just wished the pool was working as the environment is perfect to cool down.

United StatesOur TV had trouble playing anything and would buffer constantly, but honestly not that big of a deal considering we didn’t come to Costa Rica to watch Netflix ;)
This property is AMAZING!! Very one of a kind and is so beautiful! The outdoor shower was incredible and certainly the best part. Our front porch had a nice hammock to relax in and the coffee was fantastic!

CanadaOpening in the door let’s bugs in like 1 cockroach, a spider, some ants, but what can you expect from glamping!
You are out in nature and in the jungle. Had Netflix and had a fridge in the dome! Good wifi.

United StatesUnfortunately the pool was out of order and they were working on it I have been really looking forward to the pool. Also there was no hot water as advertised but that was really not a huge problem it just would have been nice.
Beautiful property, great glamping experience! Very friendly owner and staff, easy check in and check out.

CanadaThis was the most incredible hotel we've experienced in Costa Rica! The rooms are stunning, super clean and practical, down to the smallest details. The hotel's grounds are beautiful, especially with the lovely river-like swimming pool. Additionally, the location is ideal – close enough to all the restaurants while still being secluded enough to fully enjoy the solitude of the surrounding forest. Additionally, the hotel owner has a wonderful personality and is extremely welcoming.

United StatesThe only minor thing we didn’t love was that the bathroom was a small walk from our room. This was never an issue for us but made it a tiny bit scary using the restroom in the middle of the night, but it is glamping! This definitely didn’t affect our experience but just something to be aware of.
Glamping Tomaselli has a lot of personality. The owner takes a lot of pride in his work and he did a great job. They just opened the pool and we were some of the first to try it out. It’s a very unique pool and great for relaxing after a long day of beach and hiking. The sound of the waterfall and the lights at night are perfect. We stayed in the lower dome and it had the perfect amount of privacy. The dome was very cozy and air conditioned. There is a bus station about a 5-7 minute walk away with buses that go to the beach and quepos, but be aware it is uphill. Our favorite part about the place is the owner. He was the friendliest person we met while in Costa Rica and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He answered every question we had and helped us figure out public transportation since we didn’t rent a car. He even got rid of a spider in our bathroom!

PortugalI loved the feeling of sleeping in the trees, the artistic quality and attention to detail of the furniture and fixtures. The bathroom was stunning and the lighting features and hammock made the stay even more special. I spent hours on the balcony enjoying the monkeys and the birds. The new water feature also adds a special touch.

United KingdomThe walk from pod to the outdoor toilet in the middle of the night isn’t ideal, make sure you bring a torch!
Had a very good stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were also very good. You are surrounded by nature away from the town and it is very peaceful and relaxing. As expected, bugs and ants were present in the room on occasions, however they didn’t bother us and after being left alone they disappeared after a while. If you book to stay here be aware that it would be best to have transport as manual Antonio is a 45 min walk away; Quepos is also a similar distance. We stayed for 3 nights so found that walking one way and getting a taxi back was fine, any longer and we would have wanted our own vehicle for ease. The facilities also offer a small pool which we appreciated in the heat. We found that a 3 night stay here was enough as there isn’t a great deal to do in the local vicinity.

United KingdomNothing. Just stunning!
What can I say! This place is absolutely gorgeous! The owner is super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I'm a solo female traveller and felt really safe and well looked after! . The outdoor shower is just beautiful, you feel surrounded by nature at all times! I saw sloths, woodpeckers humming birds and so many colorful birds! Hearing the animals whilst swinging in the hammock was devine. The ac and room/bed was glorious! Also I highly recommend asking the owner for the massuse's number he name is vilma. I had one of the best massages of my life whilst the sun was setting on the balcony. Being surrounded by nature, an experince I won't forget! And she is very reasonably priced! I I wish I could stay longer. I would say having a car would be beneficial but grabbing taxis is super easy. The resturant at the top.of the road is delicous as well! I can't thank the owner enough what a wonderful haven you've created! Thank you

United KingdomIt was a bit of a challenge for us without a car as Ubers don’t accept bookings due to the location being so out of the way. The owner kindly organised us a taxi, but definitely better if you have your own car to get around.
Amazing stay at a unique accommodation in the heart of the jungle. The dome room and quirky outdoor shower were tastefully designed and decorated, amd we loved our breakfasts of fruits on the balcony each morning - we saw monkeys and heaps of birds.

United StatesUnique setting and a great man who owns, runs, and built it all. He didn't try to hustle us to go on any tours - although he knew about everything that was going on and what was cool to do. He wasn't paranoid about getting extra money for every little thing. He said it was seventy bucks and that's what it was. No deposit and no cross the tee's and dot every i like so many other hotels. I wish I had reserved it for several days instead of just one is my only regret. The area itself is good and bad depending on what you're looking for but Glamping was a place where I felt 100% comfortable and relaxed. Can't recommend it enough. And that says something coming from me because I'm usually very critical - especially when I've paid a lot of money to stay some place and they fail to live up to what they promise (as in virtually every hotel I've ever stayed in)
