There is no air conditioning so the room can be very warm at times. We also shared our room with several gecko/lizards which I guess is par for the course if you stay in the jungle.

The view is amazing and the trails on the property are very nice. There is not much hiking in the Uvita area so it was nice to have some trails to explore. Saw several sloths, a toucan and monkeys.

Service at the lookout is slow. Rooms are sweltering on humid days (fans but no aircon).

La Cusinga is an entire experience. Paths take you through tropical jungle (complete with humidity) to a secluded beach, a waterfall falling into a cooling pool, a swimming pool, a restaurant and a vast view of the Pacific from a lookout terrace. Ocean as well as garden and jungle views from your room porch. Staff are professional, cocktails and food are delicious. We felt very safe and cared for here. Security is high, including regarding parking areas.

Paradise? Yes. The view from the main terrasse is breath taking. The personell is super polite There is a little real waterwhole in the forest and yoga hat. and such beautiful little Apartments,. No AC but next to a nature reservation and a beach that just looks like the beach? Nobody needs an AC ;)

Nothing everything went smoothly for us

food from the restaurant, breakfast and evening meal was great, enjoyed the cocktails at sunset before dinner. The swimming pool and the dipping pool in the river were fantastic. The on site trails (including one down to beach) were really good.

Prices are high but we got what we paid for.

The staff was warm and welcoming, the food was extra good, and the birds were gorgeous and easy to enjoy, especially the Fiery-billed Aracari and the Scarlet-rumped Tanagers.

Although the reception team has been very welcoming, the restaurant staff regular. Restaurant offer (breakfast and dinner) did not match our expectations neither the hotel standards. To be improved.

Totally get it’s environmental credentials, but either a little bit of air conditioning, or a little fridge in the room would have helped stay cool during the day. A minor issue though - the fans kept us cool at night.

Amazing location in it’s own little slice of tropical rainforest. Amazing sunsets and cocktails on the terrace, and a really tasty restaurant.

I know it is an eco lodge but for the amount of money it is per night I think either breakfast needs to be included or tea / coffee making facilities to be provided in the room. The rooms are verrryy basic facilities wise which I completely don't mind but then think the price should reflect this

The location is amazing and there are great trails around the property, tracks down to a beautiful beach, there's a view point to sit and watch the sun set with a drink and all the staff were very friendly.
