Fine but peacocks annoyed me every morning

There are about 10 peacocks in the garden that start to “sing” at 5am every morning. I guess it was their making period because they sounded like really annoying cats. The bathroom was not very well cleaned, not enough trash cans in the room and lastly you have to use your car everywhere you go as it is far from everything and last 500 meters are dirt road.

The hotel has very well maintained garden, the beds are big and really comfortable, breakfast is very good, staff is friendly. The view from the breakfast room and pool is exceptional!

Keep in mind they do not do daily housekeeping and you get a discount if you pay in cash.

We enjoyed our stay here, highlights included the view of the volcanos from the breakfast/main pool area, included breakfast, and size of the hotel. The property isn't huge which makes you feel like you've found a hidden gem. We even had what essentially felt like a private spring-fed pool near our room since we were the only ones using it for hours at a time! Beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. The 'virtual' reception was great and didn't cause any inconvenience or confusion. Check-in went smoothly and the map they provided was helpful.

Having someone who can help visitors in English with recommendations, givig cupons, ' someone who can give answers to questions about locations, things to do,ideas of activities etc...

A very nice hotel, right underneeth the Volcano,, that felt special, and the gardening is beautiful. You really can enjoy the hot springs privately and quietly and with no need of special effects, only just enjoy the peaceful nature!! The ladies who served breakfast were friendly, they served a nice breakfast or helped us with some laundry, but beside that, they coudn't be of any info, for not being able to speak English

the gravel that connects the facility to the main road is about 200 m long, but will be asphalt covered soon - I'm sure :)

    - breakfast terrace with the ladies who prepared the freshly made breakfast - warm spring water in three small pools - great added bonus - view of the Arenal Volcano - rich bird life in the park-like garden

    Nothing. It suited us well.

Fantastic location. Relaxed atmosphere and not too big and developed. Beautiful garden with lovely hot spring pool to relax in evening. Our room was perfect for us facing into lush jungle on the edge of the site which felt extra special. Friendly staff who were prompt replying to messages.

It was hard to find the room at first, no signs.

It right be Arenal Volcano and close to La Fortuna to eat and shop in town. It was close to a lot of the activities. Our room was kind in the back off the pool which was very nice because our patio faced the volcano and landscape. The hot springs pool felt awesome and was clean. The food was good, nothing special but it does not come with the price of the room. The staff was very attentive when we have an outlet that didn’t work, they responded and fixed quickly. The grounds is nice but farm like. They have cattle for milking on the side and peacocks on the motel side. The tap water there was delicious.

check in details were sent while we were in transit to the property so I didn't know it was self check in. It would have been better if details were sent a bit further in advance so we could have been a bit better prepared when we arrived.

room was basic but comfortable and clean. Outdoor porch was set up with kitchen which was stocked with coffee, but don't leave food out since there are peacocks on site, which are friendly but will get into the food. Breakfast was big portions and so delicious.

Set up of bathroom was weird-sink perpendicular to toilet. Place needed hooks for wet towels and bathing suits. Could use a small dining table and a couple of chairs.

Staff was great-breakfast was delightful, -they cleaned our rooms and did laundry. Also helped with translating to obtain taxis and plan excursions. Grounds were beautiful and wildlife spectacular. The pools were wonderful. Shower was powerful and hot.

Did not have a receptionist or at least when I was there. It would be nice if you had one that speaks English well. Only one person spoke English well. That person was only available during the time if you call the number that booking.com gives you. The pool was warm but I prefer it to be warmer than it was. Taxi costs could add up if you don't have a rental car or somebody to drive you. However, that's the price you pay for being in a quiet location away from La Fortuna.

Room was clean and plumbing worked well. If you like hot water in the shower, it can get very hot if you want. Air conditioning worked well. The grounds were beautiful, and bird life was prolific. Pool was nice. Breakfast was good. Beds were very comfortable. Quiet location. Though the people on the grounds did not speak much English, they were friendly and tried to help me anyway they can. With my little Spanish that I knew, along with them knowing a little English, we were able to communicate what was needed!

Minor observation - Just had a couple of tiny mirrors

Very quiet, smaller facility with 3 nice warm (probably around 90 degrees) pools for soaking, location was convenient to La Fortuna town and area sites.

There isn't really a reception desk or people you can ask questions to. But that wasn't too bad for us, it was all very easy to manage.

Wonderful small, quiet hotel with a great view of Arenal. We enjoyed the hot springs so much, we almost always had the pools to ourselves (unlike the stressful public springs) Highlight: the peacocks that roam the grounds during the day. We went to the wonderful (less frequented) Mirador El Silencio park, which is a 10-minute drive away, and had a sensational (!) coffee in the Rainforest Arenal café next door. We will be back!
