    The pool was very small.

Great view, lovely to have the macaws and monkeys in the trees around the hotel, spacious family room.

The traffic on the road was often noisy.

Mango Moon was my family's favourite accommodation of our Costa Rican adventure. The location is stunning, the grounds are lush, the wildlife viewing is amazing and the staff was incredible. Breakfast was delicious with many options, the beach was within walking distance (though very hilly) and the pool was small but perfect. I loved sitting on our balcony watching the capuchins, macaws and other wildlife go by. The a/c worked well and it was handy to have a small fridge in the room. Fran and Jake and the rest of the staff made us feel at home and provided suggestions and support during our stay. We loved it.

Manuel Antonio - great place to stay, amazing view & wildlife

Ear plugs might be helpful here - The hotel is not on a busy street, however there are motorbikes & trucks that travel on the road during the night and it's quite loud if you're sleeping near the window (no fault of Mango Moon). Also we were able to hear the family in the room next to us through the walls. We were glad they kept a similar schedule ;) Also, for some reason our door could only be closed with the deadbolt, which is fine for security, but an inconvenience if you have a family that is in and out and in and out of the room a lot.

Mango Moon Villa was great for our family. We were on the 3rd floor superior room and had an amazing view from the balcony: Squirrel monkey, Capuchin, scarlet macaws, Toucans & so many more birds right from our balcony. The room & bathroom was clean. Loved the ease of the breakfast - set out buffet style with options that varied day to day - & helped when we needed to make an early exit. We had a vehicle and were able to get around Quepos & Manuel Antonio easily, the location was great! Loved that they let us borrow beach towels for our beach visit! We ate at the Korean BBQ restaurant at the hotel, and also walked up to the main street for easy meals also.

Parking: tight, on small, busy road. Quite loud, even at night. Air conditioner was also loud at times (vibrated the walls in the bathroom/bedroom) Had to request a mattress to be placed on the floor in order to sleep 5 (“Superior” family room was supposed to hold 5, but had 1 king bed, a day bed with pull out bed, and that was it). Thin walls, sounded like our bathroom was right next to our neighbors bedroom 😬

Great views: saw toucans, macaws, parrots, monkeys, agouti, you can see the ocean. Pool: small but the kids enjoyed it. Breakfast: included in price, good. Fresh scrambled eggs, omelet bar, fruits, pancakes, plantains, beans and rice, granola, pancakes, fresh juice Beach access: about a 25 min walk down a hill, just past Shana by the Sea (my husband dropped us off and picked us up). There is parking along the side of the road if you are lucky.

A little bit outdated. There was an old poolbar that was closed. Not a lot of poolchairs and some of them were broken.

Awkward when people walked across our balcony. It didn’t feel super private sometimes. I wish that had been disclosed to us.

This place is AMAZING! The view was absolutely spectacular!!! It took our breath away. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and we woke up to Macaws and monkeys right outside our window. The staff was very nice and available when we needed them. The air conditioning worked great. I’m a very picky about my stays, and I hope I get to stay here again in the future.

The howler monkeys were a bit raucous at night. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend ear plugs.

The views, the ambiance, the staff, and the amazing Korean\Costa Rican\American cuisine were all spectacular. Fran Oh, the owner and manager was so warm, welcoming and engaging that we felt like family. We we good friends by the end of our stay.

There was some confusion over what was included in the package we had paid for regarding dinners. We were told one thing at the beginning of the week, and then towards the end it changed so we could have been having more rather than being as reserved as we had been. It was then different again when we came to checking out.

We told the hotel it was our honeymoon, so we got upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view of the sea. We watched scarlet macaws, toucans, monkeys and sloths from our balcony; it was magical. The staff were really helpful with regard to organising activities for us, and transport between them.

The restaurant, we didn’t eat there because it smelled so much like deep fry and even though the view was there, the vibes were not.

Beautiful accommodations in Manuel Antonio with some minor issues

Our door didn't lock properly and the door handle broke off on our first day. We let the staff know and the handle was fixed by the time we got back, but the lock appeared to have been installed upside down and was never fixed. The lock could latch, but by simply lifting the door slightly you could unlatch it and open the door. This was a bit of a safety concern for when we were out, and didn't make us feel like our money/ passports were secure enough to leave behind.

The view from the room was beautiful, and our private balcony was lovely. Being on the third floor, we could see the pool and the ocean but be away from some of the restaurant noise. We appreciated being able to sign out towels for the beach and pool. The room was clean and bigger than expected. The staff were helpful and nice. The breakfast was great.

The location is stunning, nestled on a hillside with superb views of the sea, and the landscape is like a painting. It's truly pleasant that it's not a massive hotel but a smaller, family-friendly place. Animals such as toucans, monkeys, and sloths are within arm's reach, and it's superbly located near the beaches. In my opinion, it's among the top three places we've visited so far.

Room and bathroom was a little dated, felt like we didn't get one of the better rooms. Ours only had one window that faced the car park and was small. We stayed over Christmas Day so appreciate that increase the cost but I do feel it was quite expensive.

Lovely hotel, amazing view from the restaurant area. Loved the pool!

The rooms and facilities would benefit from some renovation. Cupboards and storage were tired looking and the doors a bit loose. Noise insulation to other rooms not great. The room layout is slightly odd as the people from the next room had to walk through our balcony to get to reception; this came as a bit of a surprise on the first morning, lying in bed watching the view out of the window! However none of this detracted much from our enjoyment of the stay.

The location and view were fantastic, the photos do them justice. and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, enjoyed the omelettes! There is a fridge in the room, which I don't think was mentioned in the listing.

The only thing that we didn't like was the next-door neighbours walking through our private balcony. A bigger plant between the balconies (and maybe a sign) would have prevented this.

The food was amazing! The view was amazing! The wildlife was amazing! The location was great: close enough to walk to local shops and restaurants and even the beach. Local bus available for the short hop to the national park. Great advice from the staff on how to avoid getting ripped off when doing this - talk to them.
