Was actually better than expected! Gorgeous spot and lovely staff. The details made all the difference- and we loved having the jungle right in front of our room with amazing wildlife right there.

The lighting in our bathroom was dim due to all the black tiles. We were in the junior suite. Otherwise no complaints.

We felt the staff was very helpful., especially Jairo Gracias who drove the golf cart- he was outstanding in help Throughout our stay. Always there to take us up the steep road with a smile. He always went above & beyond!

There's nothing I didn't enjoy. The pictures don't accurately illustrate the beauty of this place. My family thinks I'm a genius at finding wonderful places because of Booking.com.

The property was GORGEOUS! It was beautifully landscaped, had its own path to a secluded beach, luxurious accommodations, and thoughtful design. But the service of the staff stole the show! All the staff went above and beyond, but Bayron in guest services stands out in a pool of diamonds. He got us tickets into Manuel Antonio Park when many people couldn't find them, made excellent suggestions for fun excursions, and remembered our names from day one. Also, the property is on a steep incline, and Kevin was always there with a golf cart and a smile to taxi us up or down the hill.

There was a planned electrical and water outage for almost the entire day after we arrived. There was no communication to us prior to us arriving. We were told upon arrival. I don’t think this is fair and contributed to some difficulties the next day.

Didn’t realise the 25 min walk into town was uphill and in the humidity it felt a very long way! Taxis can be arranged but $10 each way for a 5 min ride. Didn’t like the loud music by pool, just not our thing. Ask for a quiet room away from the pool so you can listen to the noises of the rain forest instead! We walked down to the beach which was beautiful but again loud music playing. Maybe we were unlucky that day but seemed such a shame in such a beautiful environment.

Wonderful stay! The staff make this hotel a very special place. Food in the restaurant was delicious…would highly recommend. Special mention to Elieth who made sure we enjoyed a very special dinner one evening and also to Alexander who worked tirelessly at the poolside and in the restaurant to ensure everyone had a good time. And lastly to Juan/John/Lewis Hamilton (you know who you are 😁) who made our whole week so entertaining, always professional and with a big smile on his face - thank you for making our holiday a memorable one! Hope your mum had a good birthday!

The beach was a little puny, but we enjoyed the water. We wished the chairs were included with the room, but we were asked to pay $15-20 to use them. We didn’t. Also, the view from our room didn’t include the ocean as advertised. We did see lots of beautiful foliage and monkeys though.

It delivers what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. It's close to the beach and animals are directly surrounding us. The breakfast is really superb. It was the best breakfast we had in Costa Rica, and we've been to many places.

Parking was very cramped and there wasn't enough of it. One night we had to park on the street outside.

The room was gigantic and very chic. There were monkeys on property. The pool was a gorgeous infinity pool looking out on the ocean. It was an excellent experience.

Loved that we got the full resort experience at a fraction of the price in the US. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. We only stayed one night but loved that we got to enjoy the pool for two days. The 5m walk from the resort to the beach was an added bonus. They do warn you about the monkeys around the property but honestly we found them endearing.

Location was perfect with infinity adult pool and short walk to small “secret beach” on private path. Shout out to Alexander, our exceptional waiter, who was always there for us for lunch and dinner as well as pool side for drinks and water with ice. The kitchen isn't really stocked to be useable. There were pots, pans, dishes and silverwear, but there was no oil, salt or pepper. Also no dishwashing soap or sponge to wash dishes with. We didn't try requesting these things and decided to just eat out while we were there, so not sure if they are available on request or not, but thought I'd mention it for folks who plan on using the kitchen during their stay.

Loved that you can see all kinds of wildlife right from the property. We saw toucans, macaws, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys and an agouti. The room was spacious and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent and there was a beach a short walk from the property.

The staff was great and very accommodating! They clearly answered all of our questions and made sure that our stay was very comfortable. They also helped us book a night tour on the spot.

It’s in the perfect location to go to the beach!! We saw monkeys at the hotel and on the walk down to the beach. We also saw a sloth on the walk down! It is nice like a resort, but not expensive like one. If you drive a car it’s very easy to get to restaurants and things. You can walk a half mile up a hill to the restaurants too, which we did even though we had a car.

Hotel is on a hill, and fom 100 and 200 number rooms steep climb to pool, restaurant and reception, although golf cart rides are available. About 10 minute walk down to beach, climb back up, though not hard, might be challenging to some.

Beautiful property on a hill overlooking a protected Pacific ocean cove. Nice pool and bar area and very good open air restaurant, frequented by monkeys and lizards. Very modern rooms with smart tv access. Plesant walk down to beach

On our first day we arrived mid afternoon to check in and walked into our room to find that the air conditioning was off and it was HOT. After a long day of travel I was hoping for a cool refreshing room.. not the biggest deal but still. Most of the staff were very nice/ friendly but when at the pool, it was impossible to get a drink or the servers attention. It took about 20 mins to receive a drink and at least another 10 mins for a server to come around and ask if you wanted another one. The lack of customer service/ urgency especially in the pool bar area was extremely disappointing. Another thing I found that was less than convenient was the beach location. It know the name of the hotel is “by the beach” but they fail to mention that it’s a 10 minute walk down a pretty steep hill only to find that most locals go to this beach and it is very small. The hotel doesn’t provide beach chairs or umbrellas either, just something to keep in mind.

The hotel itself is nice, the grounds are beautiful, and both pool areas are very nice and clean. We originally booked for 3 nights but had to add a 4th night due to schedule changes. They placed us in a wonderful honey moon suite for our first night but were told we needed to checkout at noon the next day and then go to our new room (which is a little frustrating and puts a damper in your day). When we went back to get our new key, they told us that they were keeping us in our original room which was great! Technically it was a free upgrade so that was very much appreciated. The room itself was large, a little dated but still nice. We saw so many monkeys from our balcony which was awesome. The breakfast was ok, not a lot of options and it was the same everyday so some variety would be appreciated. Overall it was a very nice stay, but if proximity of beach is important to you then this isn’t the best option.
