Room was just ok, bed was uncomfortable. Staff was not warm and welcoming like the previous resort we stayed in (Royal Corin) with the exception of one staff member named Alder. He was great.

The grounds and nature onsite were amazing. Loved the pools and the view of the ocean from the room.

We had a lovely time! The resort is Beautiful with great views, close to the beach and like 10 minutes drive to Manuel Antonio National park. Lots of restaurants around, great AC and the staff is amazing! The breakfast is great!

Brilliant hotel with lots of character. We had an amazing time here, it is the perfect place to relax, with three pools and a gorgeous nearby beach. The Manuel Antonio national park is stunning, we booked a tour there through the hotel and our guide Lourdes was fantastic, she knew lots about the various animals and we saw so many sloths. The rooms are modern and clean, and monkeys would often come up onto our balcony. The hotel still has lots of evidence of its time as an old parador with very cool artefacts hanging in the reception area. The food here was all delicious, with plenty of choice at all times of day.

Vegetarian/vegan food was mostly tasteless. It is a shame as we chose this hotel for their veggie options but you can see they dont put near the same effort than regular options. Veggie rissoto for dinner at galeria was tasteless, not creamy, for that price it feels like a ripoff. Same with the veggie sanwich, you can only taste the soycheese, not a single other thing from it was seasoned. Overall disappointing and overpriced veggie food.

Hotel was perfect, we'd have stayed longer if we could.

Hotel is beautiful, well situated for the views. It is a nice quite hotel set apart from the main hub of hotels and restaurants. The hotel is at the top of a steep incline so best to get a taxi in and out. There is a little beach about a 5 minute walk down the path from the hotel. Staff were amazing and available to help with all our activities and transport. Was never a problem getting a lounger by the pool, no towel wars here! I'd recommend their fresh fruit smoothies, sitting in the sunshine - heaven.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property but I did wish the staff would have walked around the pool area more to ask if we needed any drinks. Having to get out of the pool and find a person for drinks was a little irritating for how much we were paying for drinks and tips.

The property was absolutely gorgeous, staff were friendly and the property was super clean.

We stayed at Parador as our first stop on honeymoon and what a great introduction to Costa Rica! The staff made us feel so welcome, and were super kind - we arrived to chocolate covered strawberries, a voucher for a couples massage, and a honeymoon card. Later in the trip the hotel kindly gifted us a bottle of bubbles by candlelight and flower petals in the evening, and a fruit basket. Special thanks to Stuart for arranging these lovely surprises during our stay. We stayed in the garden suite and the room was lovely and spacious, as was the bathroom. We also really liked our little balcony area from which we saw howler monkeys, iguanas and even a racoon! The walking trails were also beautiful and abundant with wildlife. The resort itself was super special - full of wildlife right on your doorstep! We saw 2 sloths every day in the tree by the pool, along with howler monkeys, frogs, toucans, eagles, vultures and 2 beautiful scarlet macaws. The pools were also gorgeous and so well kept, with lovely vegetation all around. The spa was also lovely, and we were greeted with a welcome drink, exclusive use of the facilities and the couples massage was so relaxing and romantic. We enjoyed excellent cocktails, dinner, lunch and breakfasts and the staff service was excellent. Thank you Parador!

The views were exceptional, in our room and at the adult pool. The wildlife was incredible, we saw sloths, monkeys, birds, and butterflies just at the hotel property. The breakfast was great, the hotel bar accommodating, and the staff was very helpful in arranging taxis.

Air condition in our room was somehow overstrained with humidity that was in the air during our stay in rainy season

Excellent service, as well room service, at the front desk, and in the restaurant. Specially Shana we appreciated as an extraordinary smart and attentive member of the restaurant team. We are looking forward coming back next year! Extraordenary experience was the monkey trail as part of the hotel garden!

Of the minuses, very poor breakfasts, which in no way correspond to a five-star hotel. Only eggs, cheap sausages and cheese. From vegetables, these are overripe cucumbers with seeds and unripe tomatoes. There is also a lack of variety of fruits, despite the fact that the country has a lot of everything in any season. Another of the minuses was the lack of mosquito nets in the rooms on the doors to the balcony.

Beautiful area, well maintained. Good cleaning in the rooms. Nice staff who make your stay comfortable. No animals were seen in the monkey park, but there are many birds near the pools, there was a family of monkeys the last day and many birds. We saw a sloth and a squirrel high up on a tree, we saw an iguana on the lawn.

Although the rooms were comfortable, the decor was a little dated. Lunch and dinner menus were somewhat overpriced and portion sizes were difficult to predict - some things were huge but others were smaller than expected. One of the restaurants and bars was closed while we were there - presumably when they are open in high season, there is more choice.

Fabulous location, amazing wildlife around the property, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent facilities around the hotel - great pools, mini golf and tennis and the nature trail was lovely. Spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice tapas on the bar menu and good choice at breakfast.

Everything was wonderful!

Beautiful resort near stunning beaches and jungle. Service was friendly and gentle but excellent. Food and drinks moderately priced but everything fresh and delicious. Lots of added thoughtful things like water and ice machines and self service laundry. Paradise!

Really, no complaints.

The facilities were excellently designed and maintained. Every one of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Without exception. The restuarants served excellent food and the views were wonderful. On top of that we had howler monkeys, spider monkeys, white faced capuchins, iguanas, basiliks outside our balcony almost every day.

All was perfect

The place, the design, the rooms, the food, the bar, the breakfast. It is one of the few places I’ve ever visited in my life with such an energy. Kudos to the management and will definitely be back again!
