Stinky bathroom. The ocean front room was wonderful except for the stink coming from the bathroom. I think just an occasional run with a chlorine cleaner would do the job. Don't know why so many hotels underestimate this.

This place is amazing. The view from our Ocean Front room was breathtaking and the staff very friendly and helpful. All the "better" rooms are equipped with comfortable beds and an AC with air purification which really made a difference for me since I usually find it uncomfortable to sleep with an AC on. The Mambo beach is basically divided into sections, each belonging to a different resort. The LionsDive's part is the most beautiful and least crowded. The staff takes a really good care of the beach and facilities, so the whole place feels like a small piece of paradise. They even have a fog machine they utilize once a week to reduce the number of mosquitoes in the area. Breakfasts are served at the beach by the Hemingway's restaurant. For dinner I recommend to make a reservation, because the restaurant is very popular. Also be sure to check the neighbouring OceanEncounters diving academy, the experience is totally worth it.

Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was okayish. For some reason I expected more. Don’t expect much of the run of the house rooms, they come with a parking lot view but other than that they’re okay overall.

Location is perfect, beautiful resort and easy access to private beach and mambo beach as well. Beautiful swimming pools and everyday clean beach towels. Also within the resort is a covid test centre location which comes in handy when your required to take a 3rd day test. Staff is kind and helps with carrying heavy luggage. They also let you store your luggage after checkout if needed.

Overall this was a very pleasant vacation at this hotel. The only thing negative I would say is that sometimes the reception staff were not doing what they said they would and/or were not communicating well (I had to ask at least 4 times on 3 days to get my transport back to the airport confirmed). The main thing that bothered us most during our stay is that our room neighbors were smokers and their cigarette smell and smoke would be very unpleasant to deal as they sat outside their door (not allowed to smoke inside the rooms). This prevented us from from being able to also enjoy our balcony because they were smoking just beside us.

I liked that the resort did not feel like an over crowded all inclusive resort; the rooms are spread out and the restaurants are spread out just enough. There were always enough beach chairs. Loved the fact that there is a Scuba Diving Center on location literally 2 minutes walk away. I also loved that there were outside restaurant options not even 5 minutes walk away on Mambo boulevard. The beach was clean and pleasant, with calm waters and snorkeling & shore diving opportunities. A big bonus in this COVID times is that there is a PCR test center at the hotel as well so you don't need to spend time and money to take an expensive taxi in town to go get tested (i.e. for the 3rd day antigen test required by the government and for any pre-departure PCR tests).

The room with two queen beds was too small for a family of four, especially the bathroom. With only a 100 USD in addition we've got the apartment with two bedrooms and living room, which was a great value for the price.

Facilities to change when leaving very cramped and poor. One small shower with no airco. People changing in the room where the luggage was stored. Hair drier in room poor.

Breakfast area was very busy, not much seating in the shade and only two, slow coffee machines. Otherwise the buffet was very good. Room and view was great. Friendly staff. Pool very good, lots of loungers on beach.

Distance from airport. It takes more than 30 minutes to reach the hotel from airport.

The excellent location nearby restaurants and shops where you can reach by a little walking is wonderful. The beach access is marvelous. Spacious rooms and bathrooms are amazing.

We were not informed during the check in of all the services of the hotel. For example to go to the gym we needed a card (everyday) so we went there and then we needed to go back to the reception to get it one. We also did not know that there was a free shuttle everyday to go downtown and when we asked to book a restaurant for us the reservation was not made.

Beach is rocky. Balcony is not private. Staff were ok, but some (one in particular, Brenda @Hemingway) could be rude. Food at Hemingway, especially breakfast, is not worth it.

The snorkeling is awesome!!!! Clean rooms. Pools were AWESOME!!! Chill restaurant was FANTASTIC!!!!!

- we booked a room with ocean view and what we got was not even partial view because of the trees in front of the room we could not see anything. We asked for another room, they gave us the rounds of not having anything else, then they said they could move us the next day. After the first night we decided not to go through the hassle and stay. They said it is not possible, we have to move. We had to explain multiple times that it is actually less work for everyone and they finally “allowed us” to stay. Ridiculous treatment. - there was a water tap right in front of our door and one day they cleaned and our room got completely flooded with water. Reception did not even care. - they supposedly cleaned every day but I found the bathroom was not cleaned every day and there was always some sand left on the floor.

We went scuba diving so it was convenient to have the dive shop on the property.

The only positive was the location - on the beach. The alcohol is watered down, and it's shameful when they start at $12 US each. We were supposed to have 2 queen beds and were stuck having to sleep in the same bed together. for two weeks. The food was overcooked and awful. McDonalds has more variety on its menu.

WiFi is annoying, making you log back in every few hours. It was nice that they offer shuttles to the supermarket and into Willemstad but the timing is not ideal and leaves little flexibility. They were consistently slow to service the room, it would always be done past 4pm. They we're resanding the beach for the majority of our visit and the only consolation offered was a shuttle to a beach that was 45 minutes away! Why pay for the convenience of a resort only to be restricted to the schedule.

Convenient to ocean encounters scuba. The lap pool was nice when not too crowded.
