Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe most BEAUTIFUL room ever. Clean with modern conveniences but looked like I stepped back in time. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The location was perfectly convenient to old town but out of the way or crowds in a safe area.

United KingdomMy only regret is that I could not have stayed longer. I would love to come back.
I loved my stay at The Loreta. The rooms are wonderful - beautifully decorated, period features and the bed was so comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean. It has a lovely inner courtyard garden and the dining area where you have breakfast is light and airy. The breakfast was delicious and with an excellent variety of things to choose from. The staff were absolutely charming and so helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they did everything they could to make my stay pleasant and to ensure I had everything I needed. The hotel sits opposite what was a palace and beside a stunning church. It is very calm and peaceful and there are some lovely little streets to wander in nearby. It is only about five minutes walk to the Castle entrance and easy to walk down Nerudova street and the busier area by the bridge. There are some nice little bars and restaurants a couple of minutes away and a couple of tram lines within easy walking distance. Easy to get to the airport via tram/bus. A lovely place to stay in Prague.

Japanif I could have hot water during the night, that was perfect. if you arrive to Prague in the evening or later, this hotel is not the choice. the reception does not 24 hrs open, even 12 hrs. so Please be careful for your arrival time. you need to face to face check in at the reception during the day work hours.
the staff was so kind!!! and the location is perfect. just few min walk from the tram/bus stop. safe and quiet area. the neighborhood is also very kind!

United KingdomI can’t fault anything! The walls in our room (6) were a little thin by our bed onto the room next to ours. So there was a little disturbance from noise from them, but that’s the other guests being a bit too loud rather than a fault of the hotel.
Great breakfast with lots to choose from, stock up throughout the breakfast period whenever anything was low. Amazing location for the castle and very quiet and safe in the evenings. Very easy location to travel to the airport on public transport. Lovely staff and some very appreciated touches in the room. Will recommend to any friends and family planning to stay in Prague.

SlovakiaAs I am a bit demanding, there are some minor things that can bother some people (who are as me) such as: quite uncomfy pillows (too low for me), a bit creacing bed, some noise from the neighbours and that it gets quite cold in the night (although the heating is on). But these are the disadvantages of the old building and itś still nothing in comparison with the advantages.
Great location and historic atmosphere. We had a wonderful stay. Fantastic breakfast and staff. Spotlessly clean.

United StatesRoom lacked air conditioning. Too hot at night, even with the window open. Had to leave room door ajar to get enough air through the room to be able to sleep.
Very nice room. Splendid breakfasts. Great staff. Superb location! Near the cathedral and castle. Near a tram line, making transportation to other parts of the city easy. Several good restaurants within walking distance.

UkraineI wish there was an electric kettle for making tea in the evening, and a little fridge. The room is right next to reception (room #6), and you can hear people talking outside of your room through the door, as well as they can hear you from the room. But honestly - it did not bother me that much, as the hotel is rather small and there are not that many people passing by the room. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and I'm sure I'll be back if I visit Prague again.
What a lovely place! Really enjoyed the vibe of the place and the design of my room. The bed was super comfy, and overall the room had everything I needed for a short stay. The hotel is in the historic area, but the street is very quiet and not crowded, but close to restaurants etc. at the same time.

IrelandCan't fault any part of our stay. Well done Hotel Loreta.
Location perfect. Within walking distance of everywhere if you like to walk but also 5 minutes away from the No. 22 tram stop. Away from the noise of the city but very near local bars and restaurants. The staff were amazing. Thank you for everything and for your understanding and patience, faultless service. Rooms and facilities were great. Clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable. Only 10 rooms in the hotel and we had 4 of them. There was a real sense of privacy and rooms had doors exiting to the courtyard. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Highly recommended.
