Absolutely nothing.

The owner could not do enough for us. What a brilliant host. The breakfast was great and the encouragement to take a roll for lunch was exceptional. Bed, shower, space, location and view were up to expectations.

Even though it’s a non smoking house now, you can smell “the old times” in some of the common rooms.

The beds were a bit uncomfy as they move when you move, but not a major issue. Pity that the communication is a bit difficult with the owner, I am sure we would had great chats.

Great value for money. spacious room, in home house. it makes you feel like you are home. the location is good specially if you come by car as you have parking. the owner is really nice and very attentive always looking to help.

We smelt a faint smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the room. Fortunately, this disappeared after opening the windows for some time. We found the room a bit small, but for two nights it was okay. The house is located on a hill just outside of Cesky Krumlov. For us, the brisk 15-minute walk wasn't an issue though.

The landlady Gerta is very welcoming and makes sure that you are comfortable in her home. She also prepares a delicious breakfast. You can take coffee, tea and beer (!) as you like. The view is gorgeous! We were grateful to her for bringing us to the bus station when we left. You can ask her in advance to pick you up at the bus stop too, because the walk up the hill can be challenging with heavy luggage.

It's a bit of a steep walk from the town, but then again, you need to burn off some calories, after the hearty breakfasts Gerta will cook for you. :)

Fantastic value for money, and the sweetest hotel owner that will do ANYTHING to make you happy. She cooks your breakfast to your liking, and even insists that you pack some sandwiches for later. Room and bathroom was very clean, had a nice view, and the beds were comfortable. We were sad to leave and look forward to coming back next time.

Our stay at Pension Gerta was more like a visit with family. The owner was extremely nice and hospitable. Breakfasts were abundant and absolutely delicious. Once back in Cesky Krumlov we will definitely choose this place again.

It’s a really nice and clean property. The gardens are really nice and the rooms too. It’s located 15 mins walking from the city center, it’s a bit uphill but nothing too hard. The breakfast is amazing and Gerta is super nice and friendly. We had an amazing stay !

Everything is excellent.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Chesky Krumlov. Host was extremely kind, prepares good selection of breakfast and offers free sandwich when we go out. Location is walking distance to the center. Our room was very clean and organized.

Everything perfect.

A simple but very welcoming gust house with free parking, 10 minutes on foot from centre ( a little uphill the last 200 metres during return), with nice view at a garden. Excellent breakfast and very important a very kind, polite host with a wide smile and ready to serve all guests as better as possible. Extra bonus was the extra room , the owner gave to our daughter free of charge.

The pension is located on top of hill outside of the old town, but within manageable walking distance. this can be both advantages as well as disadvantages. the pro is tranquility away from the touristy old town. the cons are of course the necessity of walking uphill. additionally, the rooms are quite small and lack some amenities such as hair dryers.

the hospitality of Gerta whose English is limited made up for many shortcomings of this establishment. despite her limited English skills, you can all the helps you can in sightseeing this small town. she urged me to eat more at breakfast like a grandma. she took me to the train depot upon my leaving. the breakfast is sumptuous. the rate is very reasonable. There is a local restaurant nearby which offers tasty local foods at a very reasonable place.
