Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeThe access to the room was a bit inconvenient. We had to either go up several flights of stairs or wait for the elevator which usually took long.
Location- located within the main square and within walking distance to the main attraction. Spacious- The room has enough space to move and with our pet, it was very convenient.

Czech RepublicThe facilities are more closer to a 3* standard, compared to a proper 4* in Prague & other places. The staff was OK, their communication at times could have been better. We had an issue, that was a bit unpleasant (with my grand-daughter visiting), the overall attitude I did not really like. But we sorted it out in the end. The receptionists were constantly taking smoke breaks, waitresses on the roof terrace were having loud private conversation dropping the Czech vulgar words. Just not as luxury & classy as it could be.
The room was comfortable with a nice rooftop view, size-wise - it was on a smaller side. But I really appreciated the air-conditioning, perfect for hot summer days. There is a lovely roof terrace where you can have a drink & look over the entire town. Location is great.

IrelandBreakfast was the let-down for the hotel. It was available between 7 - 10am and we were there at 8:30. While overall there was a good selection for breakfast, the hot food section was unfortunately mostly cold and a bit congealed i.e. the eggs, beans and sausages. The water for the tea was just about warm and it was the same for the coffee. Neither were drinkable.
The hotel is in an amazing location. It is on the square which has many restaurants and is next to the archbishops palace. It also has a lovely terrace on the roof where you can have a drink and look over the square. It was unfortunately raining the evening we were there so we didn't get to try it out. The room was a good size and had working air conditioning which was great. It was nice and quiet and the beds were pretty comfortable. The shower was lovely and strong but the holder bar for the shower hose was broken.

Czech RepublicThese are minor, but wi-fi is on the slower end, there are few electrical outlets and be sure to check with the hotel if arriving later in the evening, since the reception doesn't seem to be actively staffed 24/7. None of these is an issue, just good to know.
We've spent an enjoyable summer weekend here and I would absolutely recommend the place to anyone hoping to have a comfortable, centrally-located place to stay in Kroměříž. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the staff was very friendly and the rooftop terrace is a great amenity for a warm summer evening. Breakfast selection is quite good, even later in the morning, and the whole experience was completely seamless.

Slovakia- room not cleaned on arrival - floor not vacuumed (there were even some food leftovers on the floor), dirty/sticky bathroom floor, food leftovers in the fridge, dirty cups, sticky light switches, sticky air-conditioning remote control - moldy shower - no room service - no room cleaning during the stay, no taking out trash, no change of towels - no possibility to get fresh air into the room - upon opening the window, there was immediately a smell from an exhaust pipe from a nearby restaurant - from the morning until night - short bed - breakfast - a lot of things, but nothing usable: cold sausages, cold scrambled eggs, cold tea water (and if hot, then dirty), moldy grapes, wet pastry - noisy building - the room entrance directly at the stairway with the elevators - misleading listing showing 4 stars (someone might think that it is a 4-star hotel)
- location directly on the main square - smart TV with working internet connection

Czech Republichere is the view of my room, for 72 euros per night after the 30 or 40%discount! so if the inner country yard view is like this, why don't you post a photo of that, which gives me fair information to choose, I asked reception if i could change the room but she said it was not possible. the whole night I could hear the other's room business and it was so annoying. Overall it had the quality of a 3star hotel.

PolandThere is no parking place, despite one is indicated in the hotel description. We bought a parking ticket and parked at the place indicated by the staff in the nearby street. Next day we got a blokade on the wheel by the police and had to pay the fine. The lady at the reception was annoyed that I ask her to talk to the police by the phone, as they were not speaking English. At the same moment we were ask for the staff to leave the hotel as it was the check out time. It was 11, while check out time at booking stated 12. They said it is a mistake and we should take our things and check out. I have never experienced such ignorrance towards guests as in this hotel. In the end the police, who arrived to take out the blocade was nicer then the hotel personnel. The room smelled like a chlorine detergent used in public toilet. The breakfast was moderate in the space looking more like canteen.
