The surrounding streets / town aren't very inspiring. We really regretted not booking a river view, which would have been well worth the extra cost.

Very friendly hotel in a great river-side spot. The breakfast room has a great view across to the confluence of the Rhine and Ruhr rivers which we found very interesting. It made a good location to break a very long drive up the 3 Autobahn. From the outside the hotel looks rather dated, but inside it was very nicely decorated and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, I had a balcony towards the Rhine river facing the estuary of the Ruhr into the Rhine and the Duisburg Harbour. After a long travelling and working day that was very nice. Restaurant unfortunately is no longer available, but the team at the bar was nice..

The beds were great, however the pillows were very very flat. It felt like laying on air. I did not ask for another pillow, which was my own fault. Also there is limited parking space in the private parking. This was not something which I was counting on, however there is more than enough parking spaces on the side of the road.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and spacious. We asked for rooms near each other and got rooms next to each other which was a bonus. We arrived late so we wanted to grab some food. The staff advised us a restaurant which was great. The breakfast was really good too the next morning.

It was further than we expected to other restaurants. We had unfortunately misread the hours the restaurant was open : we hadn't realised it only served breakfast.

The breakfast was excellent. The views of the river from the room and the bar were superb. Staff were helpful.

They had about 15 parking spaces, and the rest of the cars were parked along the road. We ended up on the road because we came late in the evening. Not horrible, but would have been nice to know. We were in a non smoking room but the smoke from the neighbour came into our room - not great since my boyfriend has asthma (no ventilation)

Great view over the river and amazing breakfast. The room was big with a hugh bathroom.

Had better quality bed linen in cheaper hotels. Restaurant can be closed: Alternatives are a 10 minute walk.

Fabulous riverside location, friendly staff, bigger than average rooms, passing river traffic a treat and not too noisy. Room price was good too. Breakfast is excellent, the bar is active most nights, surrounding street parking is free. Bike lockup is a great idea, the neighbourhood is very bike-friendly.

Great that the hotel provided a secure lock up place for our bikes. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. We loved the balcony overlooking The Rhine too.

Roadside parking, I have a 20 year old beautifully renovated mx5 and much prefer onsite parking where I know its safe 😊

The building looks very sad from the outside but they made it nice on the inside. Only thing we didn’t like were the under sheets on the bed .. this is of this kind of plastic material to protect the matras, pillow etc… but it is sweating like hell.

Breakfast was good, rooms were nice. Friendly staff and many was possible.

The restaurant was closed on the night we stayed (Sunday) This meant a 25 euro taxi ride for food.

Spectacular views of the Rhine. Perfect if touring the Rhine by bike. The staff were very helpful.and welcoming.
