Although it is a nonsmoking hotel, there were smokers in the courtyard. Since our room overlooked the courtyard, we could smell smoke.

Lovely and historic hotel within easy walking distance of the Altstadt. Interesting to learn about the history of the building. Very nice bathroom and furnishings. Appreciated that it was a nonsmoking and non-pet hotel.

You have to consider being right in the city. We had a couple arguing in front of our window in the middle of the night. The price for the room though was quite high

The hotel is very centrally located but quiet. The hotel is a historic building with great character. The bedroom was comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom was very clean with a good shower, plenty of instant hot water and well designed.

An old storage house, renovated and furnished using high quality materials, preserving the historical atmodphere. I loved the heavy oak door, the stairs, the ceiling beams. Very good mattress too. And caring friendly staff. Perfect location at the canal side and a few steps from the old center.

No mirror with light bright enough to do makeup. The bathroom was beautifully lit but it was just too subtle to do makeup. I would suggest a mirror in the bedroom.

They have thought of everything. A beautiful small boutique hotel. An absolute treat to stay here.

The hotel is in a lovely old building in the old town, and has been restored sympathetically, without becoming a museum. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean.

No laundry service offered; when travelling (unless you travel with lots of clothes) then it is necessary to launder clothes. No lift although staff helped carry the bags upstairs

Comfortable room in elegantly modernised historical building. Location, location, location - for thé most part quiet at night. I stayed in room 5 overlooking the side street, very hot and stuffy despite both windows opened fully all night. A small fan provided but not ‘up to the job’

I had two wonderful days (Lübeck is a great place to visit and to stay at) and I am not sure that I wanted to leave!

The location, overlooking the river Trave, was excellent - quiet at night and calm during the day. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. The room was clean, spacious and welcoming.

The place is quite plain and basic, but the rooms are rather comfortable and have everything you need. People at the reception are cordial and can give you instructions about what's around. It's a neat option for Lubeck.

Everything about the hotel suited me perfectly. It wouldn't be the place to stay if you wanted a lively party, but that's unlikely to be your reason for choosing Lubeck as a destination.

This is a really elegant hotel in an historic merchant's house, which has been beautifully converted without losing its character. I was given a warm welcome, even though I arrived earlier than expected and all the arrangements were explained very carefully. The hotel isn't staffed all the time but there are contact numbers available for out of hours support. Most of the rooms are on the first floor but help was provided with my luggage. There's a good supply of water, wine and other drinks which added to the experience.

There weren’t enough sockets in the room.

The hotel was in a stunning, historic building. The bedroom was a really good size, with lovely features and a great bathroom. It was in a great location, overlooking the river and close to both the town centre and train station.
