We had an excellent stay at Mooiplass Guesthouse! Superman John, Marshall and all the staff made us feel right at home. They went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. We also took the informative ostrich farm tour with Ben at he guesthouse. Ben is very knowledgeable in everything ostrich! He also doubles as the braai master! The dinner was delicious in a beautiful spot, outside overlooking the pool and the expanse of the Karoo. Recommend having dinner at the guesthouse! The rooms very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was very generous with plenty of options. The guesthouse is in a great location near the main ostrich farms outside Oudtshoorn.

Dinner expensive for what you get. Family rooms are located behind shop with no view. We changed rooms.

Staff is super and always willing to assist. Everything clean and neat. Ostrich tour was great extra!

Breakfast buffet average. Lots of choice but not as fresh as some.

The rooms are very spacious, but might feel a little bit outdated. They were very clean though, so not a big point for us. Bed was comfy!

This guesthouse has a beautiful pool area with nice views. Upon entrance, there are ostriches (behind a fence) greeting you. The property lies next to a road, but there is almost no traffic, so it’s not disturbing. Staff is wonderful (especially Mr Superman John). If in Oudtshoorn, I would definitely recommend this stay, allowing you to do an ostrich farm tour on the property and to relax by the pool.

Great location, next to the main road but quiet. Lovely, clean rooms. Excellent service, everyone always happy to help with a smile. Loved the 25 metres long pool, perfect for morning swims and fun with the family. A must-go if you are in the area!

The locks to the room were in need of some maintenance. Not actually insecure, but fiddly to operate.

Pool was very clean and well maintained. All staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. The included tour of the Ostrich farm was both interesting and fun

Loved the big sparkly pool, loved the large Veranda and decor. The outside Bar was a bonus as we were served drinks from our sun-loungers. Eating breakfast out here was also divine. It gives you a Resort type feel. The bedrooms are extra spacious and tastefully decorated with solid / quality furniture. You feel like royalty staying at this premise. Especially the staff (Superman) make you feel like a million dollars with their exceptional service! Highly recommend this place and will most certainly return.

There were a few issues with settling into our rooms as the ACs in both rooms were not working and it was very cold. The staff immediately moved us to 2 other rooms where the AC were working. There were a few other minor lack of maintenance issues in the rooms that the property would benefit in being addressed. The internet was also not working very well.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Always courteous, friendly and accommodating. We had a superb candlelight dinner for our group of 4 which was excellent and the staff had set up the room so nicely. Before that we had sat by a well prepared open fire in the lounge to enjoy our sundowners and unwinding time. The breakfast included was also very good
