The spa is terrible: it is very small, there’s just a few lockers and they are always occupied, so we had carry all our stuff (bags, clothes, jackets, valuable things…) the whole time wherever we went, the water in the indoor pool was really cold, there were kids playing around with toys and beach balls, the privacy is nonexistent due to people using their cellphones and taking photos and videos the whole time… It was a really bad experience. The receptionist on duty on Saturday afternoon was extremely impolite and disrespectful with all the guests including us, she spoke to us in very bad terms when we asked her where could we leave our stuff while we were in the spa, treating us as we were stupid, she was tremendously rude.

The apartment was big, clean and well equipped. Not far from the main building and in a very quiet area of the town. The breakfast is amazing, a lot of choices from fresh orange juice, to a scrambled eggs buffet, freshly baked bread… And the staff was mostly friendly and very professional.

The only thing that displeased me a bit was that it wasn’t clear if the cost of the Spa was included. We ended up having to pay 8€ per person.

The bed was not confortable enough and the pillows were too soft without providing the proper support for the head.

The apartment is spacious and close to the city center and it has a great view over the city.

EV-charger was not working. You have to inform them 1 day in advance for breakfast so cannot decide simultaneously. Sofa bed in the apartment is not very comfortable to sleep on. Apartments are not in the main building and you have to walk a short distance.

Nice fireplace area, decent swimming pool (with extra charge), well-equipped apartments, friendly staff. It’s a bit off the center but you can walk most of the places in 5-10min. Walking to closest slope is also possible but takes a bit longer. Overall it’s a very good value for money compared to more central accommodation options.

The pillows were uncomfortable. Some of them were so thin and should not even be used. In the spare duvet, there was no cover provided. The sofa bed was old and making a lot of noise everytime we turned. Main hotelbuilding with the spa is a bit away from the apart section (distance written in the booking). You have to go up and down the hill. Especially in winter, it was a big hassle to wear the coats and shoes to go back to the room after the spa or breakfast. Breakfast was not great compared to the price. Children are also charged with a small discount. There was black coffee provided, bit there was no coffee machine for cappuccino, etc.

Rooms were very clean and neat. Apart rooms were big, nice and convenient. Kitchen facility was also nice with the diswasher tablets and so on.

Pool was not very warm. A little too cold for me. But still good to take a quick swim after skiing. Matrasses were cheap spring Matrasses. Still had a good sleep, but not the best matrass. Breakfast could be more variated.

Quick check in and check out. Good facilities with pool and sauna. Free parking. Nice room. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good enough, not suuuuper variated, but it was good. Also heated ski-depot which is nice.

The kitchen is closed during the day which can be understandable at some degree.

The reception stuff and head of reception were solution-oriented and helpful! Breakfast was satisfactory. Room condition was nice.

- Very good service, even free prosecco drink after the check-in at the reception. - Very friendly staff and clean room. - Apartment (# 1-20) was about 200 m from the hotel at a quiet area (near the Parkplatz Kreuzbergweg) - Close to the forest (around Parkplatz Kreuzbergweg) for some nice walkings and views over the area of Winterberg. - Only 10 min walking to city center or supermarket (Lidl). - Good heating at the apartment.

The apartment is very big. You have everything you need for a comfortable staying. The staff is very gentle and helpful.

Charge of swimming pool too expensive (specially for a family of three-four) or unnecessary, considering that probably one does not spend there the all day.

Very central location to Winterbergen town and surrounding areas. Quiet and warm sleep. Well equipped apartment with enough kitchenware and lots of storage.

The plastic mattress protectors on the beds. We ended up taking them off as they made us so hot.

Location was perfect for the bike park and close to the small centre of winterberg. Breakfast was great as was the restaurant for evening meals. Spa is small but nice to relax and read a book.

Direction to our room

Our room was well equipped and clean. We were a group of 8 on motorcycles it was good that we could park our bikes outside our rooms. Swimming pool was excellent and changing facilities. The receptionist was polite and a good understanding of our language. Thank you for a great stay in winterberg.
