There's no elevator, so if you carry big luggage can be a bit difficult to get them to your floor

The room was comfortable and clean, even though there was a big street right outside my window, the room was quite silent. There are big lockers in the room where big luggage can be stored. The staff were very nice and kept everything in order. The bathrooms were clean. Overall would recommend it.

One could hear other "neighbours" quite well.

The shared bathroom was very big, modern and clean, with a nice shower. The staff provided with shampoo and shower gel. Upstairs (for us) there was a kitchen and dinner room, very organized. The owner made fresh coffee in the morning, which was very nice! Just a tip: When going to the city center direction, there is a bakery on that street that looked family owned and they had some amazing meat/cheese/bread products.

It wasn't that much quite. The people who I shared the bathroom with weren't quite. The doors were pretty old, and people had a problem with it; they banged the door several times during quiet times to lock it.

When I reached there I found my name was tagged on the door. The room and the bathroom were clean.

The floor is made of wood so it squeaks when someone walks One of the shower cabins was quite tight for a curvy person (but if that's your problem, try another bathroom, the second one on my floor had enough space :)

I didn't receive a confirmation message with codes but the host was nice and responded almost right after I texted through Booking. Loved the idea of male/female rooms (instead of mixed). The room looked nice and cozy. Lockers were big enough to put several bags in Enough bathrooms and they are different

The house is pretty old, and even though earplugs are provided it's not very soundproof. The communication only via booking.com-messages can be prone to misunderstandings.

All the facilities were very clean. The furniture is quite new and doesn't look used. There is no stuff on site, but they responded very quickly on the phone. The living room and kitchen are quite comfortable and well equipped.

I loved my big room with balcony. The mutual bathrooms were also spacious and cleaned several times a day. The kitchen has everything to prepare simple meals. I would definitely stay there next time I'm in Karlsruhe !

There is no reception so checking in is complicated. Once checked in, it is very easy to access the hostel but several guests had problems to enter to check in and find their rooms. At times, the showers/toilets were busy.

The hostel is nicely decorated and there are several details to make guests feel very comfortable. The common room is very pleasant and there are facilities to prepare a hot drink. The kitchen is relatively basic but also pleasant, with natural light and enough space to cook oneself a meal. It was great to meet other guests from all over the world. The centre of town is within walking distance and there are plenty of shops nearby to buy food. There is a tram stop just a few metres away. The main railway station is within minutes.

The hostel offered an attractive price point, the overall quality of the accommodation left much to be desired. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and the other tenants although quiet were not very chatty or social, which is something you might expect from a place with a vibrant communal room

- It’s next to the main road with cars and tram. With closed windows, it’s fine. But then you can’t open windows to get some fresh air during sleep if you’re sensitive to noise - Not enough space to hang wet clothes - Fridges are kept too cold.

It was insanely hot due to the summer, although we had fans in our room. The was nobody from the hostel there, only you and other travelers. This makes problems hard to solve when needed.

It's nicely situated aprox 700 meter from the railway station. There is no staff on site, you check in and out online and it worked out really well. We didn't have a bathroom on suite, but on the other hand there was a lot of common spaces for us to use. And everything was really clean. We would happily stay here again.

I stayed in the dormitory, which naturally comes with it's own set of problems, but considering the budget options available at that price, one can easily stay in the dormitory for a few days. For longer days, single rooms would be more suitable, quite naturally. I feel overall the place was clean enough, good location, easy to find, and with responsive staff and necessary amenities.
