We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

TurkeyWe arrived late first night, entered by key code to hotel, the room keys were on reception desk. As we have not warned or directed in advance, it was difficult to find our rooms as located in old part inside The outdoor gate was locked and could not be opened with the key code by hotel given, second night. Fortunately my friend was awake and he has opened me at midnight. Housekeeping was collecting used half shampoo and soaps and placing new, every morning. That was waste. The pillow was very large and hard to sleep. There should be sleeper, hot water kettle in room with tea and coffee to that price.
Very delicious menu and silent in the forest.

United KingdomI was fine but a friend of mine who did come down for breakfast towards the end of the opening hours on Sunday but was hurried out to vacate the dining room. She was in time to take whatever she wanted for breakfast. They didn’t even let her finish her breakfast which the others felt was very rude. Not sure what difference it would have made. Normally, opening times means that no more food or drink will be served after that but time is allowed for people to finish their meal.

GermanyHotel: Room had no heating and no warm or hot water. First they reported it as repaired, then ran 1 mx 2 hours until 10pm, room was freezing cold and in the morning no shower was possible because only cold water and heating still not running. The statements from the staff were not consistent from the evening and the morning. Only when I complained did they tell me about the heating, when I checked in they didn't let me into the restaurant and made sales. Restaurant: Service does not understand the language well, price-performance ratio is not right, very ambitious prices, asparagus very hard, a lot of hollandaise sauce was requested and melted butter was not delivered, a beer was ordered mixed, unfortunately this did not work at the first attempt although it was explained in detail, when I complained about it afterwards, they signaled that I could have gotten more sauce and after they didn't like my answer, they made a condescending hand gesture. Congratulations for the learning curve and insight, keep it up and ........

GermanyThe WiFi connection to the internet collapsed from time to time. At the third day the WiFi refused to connect my tablet to the internet, but it was possible the previous days. I was there during a Hannover fair taking place, so the price was high - as everywhere in that area. The breakfast could have more choices: better than others, but worse than others as well.
I liked the location in general (the Benther Berg is a nice location for relaxing in nature) and the facilities. Parts of the staff where really nice. I would have been more comfortable if I was told that even a simple cup of coffee is not included in the breakfast fee.

United KingdomThe rooms were very basic. The biggest issues that that there is no air-con in the rooms despite it being a listed feature on bookings.com. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, part of that could have been the temperatures (Hot). No tea & coffee making facilities. And a lovely terrace by a pond, but no bar... Overall it was passable, but quite expensive for what you get
Breakfast was good. Selection was a little limited. There were no pastries, but the espresso was good and the eggs and bacon were cooked exactly as I like them The restaurant was a big surprise. It far outshone the rooms themselves.
