Best Western Hotel Trier City is located in central Trier within a short bus or taxi ride from the train station. The hotel and room are fine, but the Wi-Fi situation (at least on the 2nd floor where my room was) was unacceptable for a business-style hotel. For the two days I was at the hotel, the Wi-Fi signal only worked sporadically and when it did it was only at very low speeds. I asked reception to fix the problem, but they told me there was nothing they could do. Disappointing.

Easy upgrades would be mini-fridge and safe in room. Don't see many hotels without them anymore. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that.

Great location, walking distance to old part of town and Christmas markets. Nice lobby area with bar, room was small yet comfortable for one. Some of the reviews complain about a shower curtain, got a laugh out of that. Is that really an issue? I would say the tub could use a mat, quite slippery. Everything very clean.

Breakfast was 12E and what was there was all great quality but could have included more such as fruit and salad.

Absolutely amazing hotel. The rooms were huge with a bathtub and towels and soap! The elevator was glittery, the staff lovely, and the location PERFECT for exploring the Roman history of the town. Quick turn and walk into the main street for food and a petrol station with snacks next door.

Background music at breaklfast. Supply of non-allergic pillows and a duvets was a little difficult to arrange. The receptionist was helpful.

I missed my train because the lobby attendant held me up though my taxi was outside waiting. Another taxi never showed in time and I ended taking a bus, this cost me one full hour. Another negative was the failing bathroom heater (lobby attendant brought in a small heater. The room overall was too cold for me and hard to adjust.

typical BW hotel located almost in the city center (7min) with underground parking rooms are quite typical but completely outdated and I could say old breakfast is good - for 12 euro definitely yes to stay to eat there

Staff friendly and helpful for booking taxis since we were here for a wedding and part of the events were in a nearby town. Also, very easy to borrow an iron, ironing board, and steamer for our clothes.

Fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the main pedestrian zone. Very clean, comfortable and quiet room. The lobby and the outdoor lounge area are both very welcoming. We were actually very pleasantly surprised by this hotel and would stay here again if the opportunity were to arise.

Lack of tea. Milk. And worst of all, I paid 12 euros for parking motorbike and some car driver thought it ok to to share my space as extra room for him.

Paid same price to park a motorcycle as a car but had to park motorbike in a small space under a ventilation shaft. Not fair for motorcyclist.

The room was very warm and, unfortunately, the air con unit was very noisy and seemed unable to stay on for long so we couldn’t get cooler. We only found a fan in the wardrobe when leaving! We would have followed this up if we were staying longer.
