I checked out this hotel and wanted to drop some thoughts. Breakfast? Yeah, it was the real deal – tasty stuff. And the staff? Total champs, super cool and friendly!!!! Even the guests were all chill and super friendly. More (!) even the bus driver was like Mr Helpful! I was shocked! 😊 Now, here’s the kicker – the location. It's a bit of a haul from the action (Freiburg) there's not a bus every other minute. Since I stayed during the weekend, it kind of messed with my other plans a bit. Here's a heads-up: hop on bus 33 if you wanna get to the central station pronto! Just a reminder, Freiburg's a small town and buses don't hang around late. Don't miss the bus!!!!

The only downside was entirely outside the hotel’s control, unfortunately. Some serious road works were in progress, right outside the front door, causing considerable noise and affecting access to the hotel. Fortunately, work stopped before 5pm, and did not start up at some ungodly hour in the morning.

The best thing was the guy on reception, who was possibly the owner? A really pleasant old man; helpful and friendly, with a good sense of humour. Our room was clean, a good size, and quiet.

saying that it was cozy means that it looks not so modern. it’s not something bad but worth to mention to people who expect modern interiors. the biggest minus was weak internet through Wi-Fi. I didn’t raised that with the stuff so don’t know if it was something temporary that could be easily fixed by them or something specific to a place.

people there were really nice. place was exactly as I pictured it - close to the main road, perfect for one night. ability to use the garage was definitely a plus. really important is that beds were really comfortable!

Room was clean, good location and the best part is the owner - he is lovely, accommodating and just a nice person. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Breakfast was a simple buffet which was good. Excellent Italian restaurant opposite to the hotel which is very convinient.

The internet connection is rather poor.

The breakfast was very good and relatively cheap. The staff was very nice. There is a supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance. The road isn’t very busy. The hotel has a shaded sitting area outside and free parking spaces in front. The town is picturesque and great for taking walks or cycling. There is a lake two bus stops away.

A lovely small hotel in a picturesque Schwarzwald town, just 10 minutes drive from the city of Freiburg - or 30 minutes by bike - via one of the fantastic cycle paths all around. The owner was charming and very helpful. Plenty of free storage in the garage available for bikes (and paid storage for cars if required) or free car parking outside.

Very nice and friendly people. They were very happy to help: with parking, dinner, etc. The room was clean and comfortable.

There was nobody at the reception most of the time. We were not alowed to pay service to a girl that worked in the moning. Breakfast was offered at price of 6 euros per person per day, but at the end it was doubled and breakfast was charged 12 euros per person per dax. Rooms are with a vinyl floors and very outdated design. No bathroom supplies only 1/4 bottle of Palmolive liquid soap. Pillows empty, no extra blankets or any beding.

The place was clean and unfortunately that is the only good thing about hotel.

It is accessible by public transport. Takes only 30 mins from Frieburg hbf. The owner was really friendly and the property was also so homely. We just spent one night but we had a good relaxing stay.

I was a few minutes late and found the buffet ravaged, but the lady was kind enough to bring me a small plate with ham and cheese.
