The hotel is a wonderful spot for a nice visit. There are a lot of fairy tale themed decorations around - perhaps giving the property a bit of a cluttered feel? Not really a negative, just an observation.

Breakfast was lovely with something for all appetites.

The bathroom is remodeled and the toilet space is tight. The smell of old is in the air, you need to take care if you have allergies.

The castle is beautiful, the room is well preserved and clean. It’s a great experience to be in a castle for one night. The breakfast is really good!

Romantic castle hotel was outstanding! Front staff was most helpful and accommodating. Our room most pleasant. The view from the terrace was spectacular. Restaurant was quite good for dinner and breakfast.

The room was very warm at night, appreciate it is an old building, perhaps a fan in the room in the summer months may help.

The staff were amazing and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The place itself was really pretty and the room had a lot of additional details and touches that made it stand out such as heart towels and rose petals on the bed.

It's a castle and therefore a little quirky. An elevator would have been nice .

It is a very romantic place, our four poster bed was made up with heart-shaped towels and rose.petals on top. The views from the windows, restaurant and terrace are gorgeous and the service is impeccable!

It is a lovely place to stay which will be interesting for both kids and adults. This is a great experience to stay in an actual castle where everything is arranged with love to history and fairy tales. Breakfast was delicious and it was served in the atmospheric places. As a great bonus you can access the tower decorated inside with fairy taile motifs.

We loved our stay! The staff was so warm, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We would recommend for other travelers coming via public transportation to download the NVV (nvv.de/en) app or use the website to find available bus routes to take once arriving by train a few towns over. The hotel is off the beaten path (which is part of the charm of it and makes it so special!). Staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and were able to figure out transportation to and from the location.

Wish the bed was a bit more comfortable and that there was a fan in the room as was very warm.

Mobile reception was poor, wifi wasn't the best either. But let's face it, if you boo a room here you weren't coming for the internet.

This was a great place to stay. It's in a little town and the place is beautiful with beautiful views. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. It was a great stay and we're really glad we chose this place.

Although the bathrooms were small, it is a castle and we understand that you can't do too much changing without destroying the original nature of such a monument. Internet was spotty due to the thickness of the floors.

The hotel/castle was an excellent place to stay. The staff made every effort to make sure we were served well in dining and the room had little extras that made our impression a good one.

Expensive, but worth it for a unique experience.

Excellent decor with authentic art, furniture, armor, taperstries, etc in an actual historic castle with fabulous views. High-class restaurant with excellent views from the patio, and terrific breakfast. Kids (age 11 & 13) and parents all enjoyed our short stay.

The wi fi was spotty and the place is in the middle of nowhere so must drive good distance to do anything but that is also part of the allure.

The hotel is fabulous. Wonderful atmospheric building, which is beautifully maintained, gorgeous areas to sit outside when the weather allows, nice views. A tower to climb for even better views. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and there's a lot of attention to detail. The food at the restaurant is very good, we are there both evenings

The pillows were very lightly stuffed making them uncomfortable to use.
