How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Only downside was the lack of international TV stations available in the room.
Central location, helpful staff, though for some people the rooms may seem dated, they have a real charm and are much larger than the soul-less rabbit hutches that pass for rooms in modern chain hotels.

It is just a small thing, but the key-cards were not working properly all teh time, so we needed to go to the reception at least three times to solve the issue...

The free WiFi provided was very slow - I often had to tether my laptop to my personal phone to get a reliable signal. The room and bathroom were clean, although they showed some pretty obvious signs of wear and tear that it would be good to sort out.
Very centrally located, and just across the street from the main Hannover train station, which made local journeys very easy and straightforward! The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Nice and comfortable room with free (!) minibar. Great location with parking options nearby. Be sure to include breakfast because it was delicious with fresh bread (the best bread I’ve ever eaten in a hotel) and a variety of other things.

Unfortunately the room had a bit of a musty smell when we arrived, probable because of the wall to wall carpeting. The smell disappeared because we kept the windows open all the time. The room could do with some refurbishment (but they should keep the old fashioned look!).
An old fashioned hotel with a very nice terrace in front for a good lunch or a drink. Normally we never drink or eat at a hotel (because there are always better places), but this was really worth it and a very good way to start our stay at Hannover. Staff at reception very friendly and welcoming. We received very clear information about the parking possibilities before we arrived, which made our arrival hassle free. This hotel is very much recommended

Room Hot water was only available after ~5minutes of cold water draining. The pillows were really weird and not comfortable. Service Late evening, when we returned, the hotel door was closed and nobody was at the reception. The hotel should consider having more personnel during the night shifts.
Location Great location Hotel looks good and new Room We had an upgrade of the room because the hotel was fully booked. Safe in the room, AC working, free coffee/tea, and a mini-bar! Service The receptionist was kind and welcoming. She totally felt our mood for the trip and was super helpful with all our needs. Great breakfast with a variety of choices. Due to the Covid regulations omelets and bacon was prepared proportionally - you would need to ask for it

The double bed wasn't available as a big double bed rather as two twin beds together. The room was a little too small but very nice nonetheless.
The room was nice, cute and comfy. It was clean and comfortable. The bathtub was really nice :) The location of the hotel is just perfect.

There was a noisy machine somewhere that didn't seem to stop, but due to being overtired, I fell asleep despite that. Might also have been another guest who left the air condition of the bathroom running while going out.
Night shift staff was friendly and understanding. Location directly at Hannover central station was wonderful. Standard in general was very good and comfy (however tending to address rather well-suited older people then younger people).
