The only reason that I have not marked the hotel 10/10 is the breakfast. I would describe it as adequate but I understand the reason for this. I stayed on a Friday night/Saturday morning when there were not many other guests. It would have been uneconomical and a waste of food to provide a lavish spread so no complaints!

The location was ideal for me as I was visiting Regensburg by train. The hotel is situated in a quiet spacious area. The room exceeded my expectations and offered exceptional value for money. I hope to return to Regensburg and this will be the first hotel that I look at for availability and competitive accommodation charges.

It was written that parking is free, but in the end it was 13 EUR per day.

The curtains were dirty, and the wash basin in the bathroom unfortunately leaky during our stay.

Location of the room, breakfast options, size of the room were the plusses for the room. The staff is really friendly and jovial. It also helps that the property has free underground parking on premises.

There was one problem with the room: stinking pipes in the bathroom. The staff seemed unaware of the problem although the smell was simply unbearable and I am certain we were not the only one who complained about it.

The room was what we expected: small, but fine. The location is good. The breakfast is OK too.

Not so close to old downtown and Danube river by walk.

Rooms were quite large, especially bathroom, and clean. Hotel is located 10 minutes by walk from railway station and 20 minutes by walk from downtown. Breakfast was good. Very convenient free underground parking.

Location is just outside the city centre so a bit less hectic than more central hotels. Pleasant 10 minute walk to the centre but there is also a regular bus service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hygiene standards applied during the Coronavirus are good and managed sensitively. Rooms are modern and spotless. Free car parking at the hotel is also a bonus.

There is really nothing to say here that mattered to us. There was no fridge or coffee machine in the room, but we do not usually use those anyway.

Why is this hotel rated below 9,0? It was one of the best hotels of this rating and price we have ever stayed at. Access by car from the Autobahn was very easy. The staff at reception and breakfast were great. Checkin and checkout took no time at all. Parking was free of charge and accessible. There was a reasonable, if not great, choice of good quality breakfast food, and the staff always made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was really big, modern, well designed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It came with a daily free bottle of water and Apfelschorle (in reusable bottles). Everything was well maintained. The air conditioning worked well, and you could also open the big, full length window for a breath of fresh air and a view over a peaceful, residential courtyard with some greenery. Despite closeness to the train tracks, which we did not see from the room, the location was very quiet - one could easily sleep undisturbed with the window open. There were no single use hygiene products in plastic containers in the bathrooms - instead the room came with a bar of soap in a cardboard box, and a mounted bottle of shower gel - cool. The location was great, on the edge of the old part of the city, with all of the tourist sites, restaurants, bars and cafes 10-15 minutes away on foot. The main train station, with adjoining bike and e-bike rental facility, was 7 minutes on foot away. Our stay at the hotel was good value for money with the quality of service we experienced.

The hotel looks like a modern hotel only in the photos. There is a steep staircase to reception and no ramp for trolley bags. Lift does not come to level 0. A staff member without an anti-Covid mask was rude during our check-in. In the room, two single beds were pushed together and there was an uncomfortable gap between beds. The pillows were old and very uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi signal was poor, was constantly interrupted for several hours.

Breakfasts were good but menu was repetitive and monotonous.
