Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was right at the front of the hotel, facing the road and a huge Easter fairground with music so loud I couldn’t sleep until the music ceased at 11pm The restaurant was out of service so needed to go in search of food! No notice given or alternative! No EV chargers!
Location for my trip and only a short distance from the airport

Netherlands1. On the hotel's description, it says "Soundproofing". The hotel is meters from the central train stations, and many homeless drunk people outside the windows made noise all night and kept us awake in both rooms. 2. Despite the size of the hotel, the amount of stars etc. - there are only 2 EV chargers. 10-15 years ago, this was acceptable, now not. 3. Stayed over 400 nights in Marriott group hotels, this hotel breakfast ranks among the lowest.
Room was clean and all things working. People in the reception was helpful and friendly.

CanadaThe male receptionist who chose not to see us, and continued to play on his computer. He needs some major training. The lady receptionist, who was helping another person, was kind enough to acknowledge us.
The location, the excellent housekeeping, the accommodation, and the lady at the reception who served us. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends who visit Bremen.

HungaryArrived after a long journey, fairly late, with two kids, completly exhausted. The receptionist was inpolite, unpleasant, and fairly rude. She was the first one to tell me about a skyhigh parking fee (19 EUR) for one night, for a non-secured, street level parking place, there was no information about this at all, during the reservation process. Our room was on the first floor, right above the garbage containers, so it was a "pleasure" waking up at 7 AM to the garbage truck. The windows was so dirty that we hardly could see through them. We reserved for 4 person, but get only two glasses, and two big and two (handwash sized) towels. There was almost no shampoo, and no conditioner at all in the bottles. This is NOT a Marriott quality!!
Just another Mariott Coutyard, same good design as anywhere else I've been before (Stockholm, Brussels, etc.). The receptionist at checkout was polite and pleasant.

SwedenI made a full payment for two rooms through Bookings.com and the hotel charged us again for both rooms. When I let them know that a full payment had already been done they said that they would not charge us double and they did. Either bookings.com not Marriot courtyard Bremen has taken responsibility or done anything about the issue.
The property was alright

United StatesThe hot water scream needs to be repaired in Rm 122.
While traveling in Europe, one becomes accustomed to ridiculously small spaces. This Marriott property exceeded my expectations by it's spaciousness. The room was designed for functionality and I so appreciated the large bathroom, hardwired hair dryer next to the mirror, the comfortable bed, and proximity to the train station. We had dinner in the dining room both nights of or 2-nigjt stay and the salad was outstanding as well as the service!

United KingdomThere was really nothing I didn't like!!
Beautiful hotel, great location (literally right next to train station), all facilities really nice. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked really nice. We had a drink in the bar which was enjoyable. Check in was great, especially as we arrived a little bit early.

Netherlands1. Unfortunately the check in was a headache. I arrived at the hotel at 11am. I asked if I could get an early check in paying an extra fee. The room was not ready yet because the check in begins at 3pm. My family and I decided to go for a walk to see the city. At 1.30pm we went back to the hotel and I tried an early check in again. It was not possible. Again, no problem at all. If the check in starts at 3pm and it is not possible to allow an early check in, the guest has to wait until 3pm. And that is what I did. The problem is, the room was not ready at 3pm either. The receptionist asked me to wait more 20 minutes. After a long trip, the hotel knew that I was waiting for the room since 11am and I had to wait after the check in time because the room was not clean yet. Of course I didn't find that nice and the guy in the reception was rude and kept saying ''it only 20 minutes, this is nuts''. 2. To park the car you have to pay 19 euro. That's super expensive 3. The beds are small 4. I found two candies under the beds 5. The breakfast costs 25 euro (or 20 if you pay in advance). Much more expensive than other hotels.
The hotel is nice and the location is good.
