Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandI've seen people complained about how old this place is, unfortunately I have to agree. Poorly equipped rooms, kettle only next to the reception desk. Kettle made of plastic, after boiling water smells plastic. Such devices should be banned. Lack of Wi-Fi?
✅ Very comfortable hard bed, a small pleasant pillow. ✅ I slept very well. ✅ Location.

TurkeyThere could be a wifi pass in the room instead of putting it in the lobby it doesn’t make sense, if you’re contacting with the custom in private about check in information then it is normal to be expected to get some minor information on whatsapp as well instead of giving directions to the lobby to the customer. There were a lot of mosquitos in the first day.
It is really easy to get to downtown, private room option with too much space, cleaning was good thanks to the staff who dealt with it.

United KingdomThe hotel was a bit away from the center so there was some extra walking with our backpacks but it was in a nice, safe, quiet area so it wasn't a big deal for us. I don't recall there being step-free access, again not a problem for us but might be for other guests as there were a few stairs. Overall I'd say it was great value for money and the hosts were lovely, we'd stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and large! The room we had was very quiet and had nice views of the surrounding hills. It came with its own private bathroom, extra bedding, and the hosts were kind enough to turn the extra heater on before our arrival as it was quite chilly in January! The hosts were lovely, very accommodating, and helpful with information on the city.

ItalyThe water from te shower leaked under the showerdoor onto the floor, which is made of tiles that get really slippery if wet. I fell because of this, so some anti-slippery thing right outside of the shower would be nice. We used a towel. Also you can hear everything on the street if you sleep on the street-side of the hotel. Didn't bother us to be honest but some people might want to wear earplugs. Also it's a 25 min walk to the city, so if you decide to go to the center, just hopping back to the hotel to get something will take you some time.
We stayed in 2 different bedrooms (we decided we wanted to stay one night longer). Both had their own shower, one its own toilet. The rooms were really nice and clean. Nice staff, at checkin we got a map and information about the city and at checkout we were offered the option of leaving our luggage. Very nice hotel, would definitely stay again. Neighbourhood felt safe to walk, even at night.

FranceOur room was facing the main street which was quite busy and loud at night. Would recommend light sleepers to bring earplugs.
The hotel is quite well located: a 20-minute walk to the historic center, with a direct evening bus that goes directly from the train station to the hotel. The room was spacious, with a private shower. The shared toilet was always clean. The staff were super friendly and offered many good recommendations of things to do in the city!

United KingdomWalls are very thin so I would strongly suggest bringing earplugs. I did and had a good night's sleep, but imagine I'd have been woken up several times through the night if not.
Location is perfect if you're attending a Fiorentina game as it's equidistant between the main train station & the stadium. It's also very close to a quieter train station. With it being slightly out of the city centre (but still an easy, pleasant walk to the tourist hotspots) there are very reasonably priced places nearby to grab food. Staff were very friendly & room was clean. Good value for an overnight stay in the tremendous city that is Florence.

CanadaThe room was extremely hot with no adjustment on the heat. The window does open however mosquitos will come in. The room is also tiny. This is quite a walk from the downtown core which was fine for me but took up a lot of time - be prepared to need to take a city bus if you have not rented a car
