The price paid for an overnight stay in low season was very high. In fact, the rate in April appears to be the same as charged during the peak season weeks of July & August, which I find very strange indeed. I would definitely stay more often if the price were more reasonable and judging by the scarcity of guests during the time I was there, I would suggest that some trial be given to substantially lowering the off-season rates in an effort to attract more guests. That being said, the lack of visitors made for a most peaceful and pleasant stay.

Everything was perfect....the location, the room, its view, the breakfast, the dinner, the friendly staff - no complaints whatsoever.

Probably one of my favourite properties I've stayed in. Amazing facilities ranging from relaxation areas to wellness to the private beach access. Amazing design balancing modern and quaint aesthetic. Super comfy rooms and beds. Great food, amazing breakfast. Spotless everywhere. And super super nice staff always willing to help and give great service (absolutely not a given in Germany). Will come back for sure, highly recommend!

Leaving

The recent renovations are exceptional. Modernised but totally in keeping with the style of this historic hotel. They have managed to keep the relaxed atmosphere while increasing the overall quality of the accommodation.

Overpriced. :-( The pool is on the smaller side. No outdoor water facilities - pool or jacuzzi. Limited dinner hours.

Location - nice views, steps from the ski lift. A lot of parking. Very clean and very nice staff. Good breakfast and dinner. Skipasses are available at the reception.

No air conditioning. Would be okay without the air conditioning if the doors had screens so bugs wouldn’t come in.

Lots of little annoying things like not being able to get into the car park until you’ve checked in (but nowhere to put car), no glasses for the water in the spa area, outside beach area being tidied away very early like staff want you to move so no chance to watch sunset, no explanation given in restaurant as to the fact it was a buffet (we were just left to guess - another guest explained to us where the best food was), no drinks menu or wine list provided at dinner, restaurant kitchen staff seemed impatient and waiting to finish. The paddle boards (SUP) were poorly maintained and very under inflated and therefore not safe. I explained to a staff member they needed more inflation but the staff did not seem to care and it was the same the next day.

Location is unbeatable! Simply stunning. Definitely go up the cable car. Lake is beautiful and hotel has SUP, kayak and canoes to use. Plenty of sun loungers. Indoor swimming pool and spa area really nice. Lovely robe, beach towel and slippers provided. Very nice food in the restaurant.

The main course options at dinner were not great. However overall food selection was excellent.

A beautiful location. Great starting point for Zugspitze visit and nice hiking trails. The beach and access to kayaks, SUP, canoes was fantastic. Spa area excellent.

Food was excellent- very high quality. The lake recreation equipment was also of good quality and plenty of it. The sauna was lovely. If you want to do Zugspitze ask the front desk if they have a discounted rate before you go.

The location. It was great to be close to lake Eibsee and be able walk around the lake at dawn. Half board including afternoon snack and a single room made it affordable when otherwise it would have been out of my price range. The room had a good view of the rainbow over the lake.

Very kind staff, super clean rooms and all other hotel area, good breakfast and dinner. Beautiful view on the lake and mountains! The price for night is quite costly for us, but we can understand why - it is one unique hotel with thier own beach area on the one of the beautiful lakes in Germany We will return in future for sure.

Beautiful property overall with amazing views. The view from the dining room overlooking the lake was spectacular. Not to mention our balcony view of Zugspitze - what a great view to wake up to in the morning!
