Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Amazing view onto the garden and Hohes Schloss, very beautiful after overnight spring snowfalls. Room was warm. Huge floor space. Great location for walking to Fussen old town, and potentially cycling distance to Schwangau for Neuschwanstein Castle (we drove because it was snowing and very cold). Communal guest fridge available. We were not charged for outdoor parking, not sure if this was an oversight! Good bakeries (recommend Sinz) and supermarkets (recommend Netto City) nearby. Good walks/hikes/trail runs.

United StatesHaving to enter all of our passport information right at checkin was really inconvenient as we were trying to make it out to restaurant before it closed and had hungry kids jumping around. Would be nice to have an option to enter ahead of time as some properties do. Otherwise, really great place to stay. Just know it will take a second to check in
It was such a cute little.space with a gorgeous view of the monastery from the balcony. Appreciated being able to use the fridge in the basement and the ease of parking. Great location for leisurely walk to dinner/coffee

SpainIt is shame that they do not serve breakfast, I would have loved to eat in the wonderfully decorated dining room!!, but closely there are lots of bakeries. Höfler allowed us to sit inside with our little dog and they had lots of choice! Very very nice!
We loved how easy reachable it is, well signalised too. We loved the exquisite decorations, the eating room is very very nice. Our room had a nice balcony to seat and read on!.

We were given a really nice room that had an outdoor seating area. I don't think it was what we booked because it slept 3. The bathroom had been redone with some beautiful tile and we very happy to find that the wardrobe included some extra blankets and a kettle. There is no reception area but the staff were quick to communicate by messaging. They held our luggage for us after check-out time. The location was perfect for us and I only wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night. The hotel is a great value.

United StatesWould have liked a fridge. I wish someone had explained how the basement eating area worked. I didn’t know about it initially, and it wasn’t clear how it was to be used until another guest explained it to me.
Excellent location, so close to train station (3 mins) and the shops and restaurants. Very comfortable, clean room. There was a nice area in the basement for guests to eat their own food.

MalaysiaThe check in and check out process was supposed to be done over an automated system but it wasn't able to find our reservation on either try so had to bother a disinterested employee (?) at check in and just left at check out. Double room was too small for two people, barely any room to move. Heating systems didn't seem to work too well (in the double room), heating in the single room was fine. 1 hour before check out there was a knock on the door by the cleaner - was not great, since if we didn't answer the cleaner would be coming in at an indecent time. If the room is known to be checked out from, there is no need to do that before the check out time. Tv being connected to the wifi could also have been a good touch.
The location was good in relation to the centre. The single room was good in size. The bathrooms were very stylish and chique! In general the bathroom facilities were quite good, seems to be made up in a modern way recently.
