Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeside the road which could be a little noisy but we were not too concerned. We struggled to get the apartment to a nice temperature, it was cold weather but it felt stuffy and warm.
Very easy to walk to Europapark,Rulantica and local shops. Apartment had everything we needed. The manager was helpful.

RomaniaIt would have been nice to have air conditioner.
The host was very sweet and willing to help. The apartment is big enough for a family with 2 kids. It only has one bathroom and it might become uncomfortable if you stay more days. We only stayed for 2 nights, so we survived 😀. Everything was very clean and modern. Europa Park is at a 5 minutes walk, and Rulantica is also very close. You have a free bus for the water park. Very nice restaurants nearby.

BelgiumIt was pretty warm and there is no airco, it was an appartment at floor level next tot a bussy street. So it was either sleeping with the blinds open and everyone being able to look inside or closing them without fresh air.
How clean and organised everything was inside the appartment. The basic necessities were all present to make use of the kitchen.

GermanyWe were in apartment no 4. The walls were very thin - we could hear every noise from outside and above. WiFi was non existent. Not very comfortable beds and pillows.
The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. The location was perfect - about 10 min walk to Europa Park.

United Arab EmiratesMorning of check out at 10:00 the mother knocked the door saying that check-out in their given rules is at 10:00, we were almost ready and asked her if she allows only half an hour to get ourselves into the car with lugguage, she said no only 20 minutes after that you have to pay 25 EUR, although surprised about such rigidness about 10 minutes but we thought it is ok it is their right to decide, and we managed to get out with luggage within 20 minutes. Before that in very early morning we were cleaning to obey this rule “Leave the dishes, oven, stove and refrigerator clean, sweep the floor, strip the beds”, we did all that except for “strip the beds” I didn’t know what was that, I didn’t imagine that they want the guest to remove all sheets from bed as I understood later on and they did before they start the arguing about the kitchen and living room (photos will be attached later of general status at check out will show beds stripped by them, photos will show also what they claimed to be non-compliances). We all know that “cleanliness” cannot be but subjective and relative and nowhere in the world they expect the guest to give them the property completely ready for the next guest. Those people they just lack logic, courtesy, and exposure about hospitality business all over the world and how it runs. They keep saying this is not hotel but apartment as if apartments different in hospitality business completely. Can you imagine a host talking with not only anger but rage to ignite heated arguments with customer because some small pieces of biscuit still on the coffee table + tiny stains of yogurt unnoticed by us on the fridg. Door + why two cooking pots are cleaned but not dried yet ?!!! and I started to take photos of general status of apartment saying I will use for disputes or reviews in booking.com so they started to take photos of those trivial things (which I will show in my photos as well). I refused to clean more nor pay 50 EUR. full story posted in tripadvisor
The apartment itself is good. This review is shoretened because of limitation of characters. I will post the full review in tripadvisor. Upon arrival in car from a tiring road trip we entered into the parking lot, the first experience was a lady (the daughter) stopping us from parking in the parking slot, and saying “you are the 6 people, right ? this is not your parking” and she guided us to the last slot beside which in the garden the owners seem to have sort of gathering with some friends probably. All the citing of some “more” rules and handed us the key was while standing beside the gathering !!! and she seemed more keen to go back to the gathering as quick as possible, however she and her mother walked us up to the apartment afterwards with again re-instating more un-disclosed in advance rules of for example if you don’t switch ALL lights when you are out, we will fine you. During the walk up, they asked about number of people in the group, so I told them you didn’t even give me chance to tell you we have 2 kids below 6 years and you wrote in booking “all kids are welcomed”, so I didn’t include them in reservation till we reach and check if they are paying guests or not, there were no worries at my side as you listed the capacity of apartment as 9 so in all cases we will settle this detail with you directly as the capacity is not an issue. They replied that payment is needed and must be in cash for the kids and the city tax and they wanted 204 EUR before we enter the apartment, I checked, it happened that I don’t have this amount in cash so I asked them about any ATM machine, she gave directions but then she asked her mother if she should allow us into apartment before we pay or not which the mother answered yes. So we checked in and I got them the cash from the nearby bank. No receipt offered nor given later, because by then they were again at the gathering and me as a guest had to interrupt their gathering embarrassingly to give the cash

United Arab EmiratesNo Internet, you will be told about the password but for us apartment 5 is not working at all. Arrogant staff and weird terms and rules. Note if you ask for 15 min late check out then you must pay euro 25 ( they will consider it an hour). I've asked for 15 min extra time straight away the answer was 'u have to pay'...of course we paid and stayed 30 min extra. Had to check in a bit late ( 7:30 pm) as we had incident before check in time and was beginning the owner or whomever is managing to wait for me and pass the key. Towels are very old Pillows are not comfortable
Location is very good. Close to Europa Park, 10 min walking. lots of restaurants. The apartment we stayed at is 2 bedrooms, perfect for family of 4 and not more. The apartment is very clean.

SwitzerlandToo much money minded to be considered nice hosts. I asked if my parents could enter the apartment we had booked earlier than 4pm and they agreed for a surcharge of 50 Euro. Note that we knew the apartment was empty because we had arrived early so there was not really a reason for the surcharge. Everything extra has a price, for example extra toilet roll cost 50 cents, there is a coffee machine but if you want a capsule you have to pay for it, and so much more, therefore be careful what you request for. There is a kitchen in the apartment and we just used 2 glasses and 3 cups (no cooking done), but when we left we were asked to clean the glasses and cups ourselves. It is true that it is written that the kitchen has to left clean but I still find it really unusual that guests have to clean glasses after having been charged a proper price and now that I know other guests may have cleaned hastily I would also worry about the hygiene of the kitchen equipment. The sofa bed is not really comfortable. No air conditioning.
Location was not bad, ok if you walk but not really convenient compared to the official bus stops of the Europark.

Netherlandswe had appartement 5 which is in front at the street. Very hot and no airco so had to open windows at night. these open to the main road of Rust with lots of early and heavy traffic and people walking in front of your opened windows. So low rating is specific to appartement 5 when it is very hot.
Very clean. Lot of space. very friendly owner.
