Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIf you don’t have a car, the property might be a bit hard to reach. Though the nature around is great!
The room was nice and spacious with everything you’d need! Staff is also very flexible with for example late check-in which was great! :) Big thank you’s!

United StatesWe are a family of four from Ohio in the United States, and we are all enamored with the Fuchsmühle. The accommodations, the proximity to Rothenburg, engaging owners, delightful guests – altogether makes for a wholesome and very pleasant visit. The guest rooms are immaculate, understated, and very comfortable. I personally enjoy the calming sounds of the watermill that was repurposed to provide a source of renewable energy. Wi-fi signal is strong and the connection speed appears to be fast for streaming content and internet-related needs. The quality of the wi-fi is a relevant one, as I do not recall seeing a TV in our guest suite (and I'm glad for that!). The included breakfast consists of fresh Kaiser and multigrain rolls, sweet jams, and sliced meats and cheese. While I am somewhat intrigued by accommodations within the Old Town of Rothenburg, the little bit of separation between the Fuchsmühle and Rothenburg provides guests with a modest amount of low impact hiking. It's just more rewarding to move from one location to the other, restive to restorative in a short walk, and it works in both directions. The Fuchsmühle reminds our family of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Kentucky in the United States, but there are certainly many places in between which offer this level of peacefulness. We simply feel very fortunate to have learned about the Fuchsmühle, and regard our stays as restorative and a source of warm family memories.

United KingdomWe loved our stay here. Picturesque location, it's beside a small slow flowing stream and meadow in the valley which has beautiful flora and fauna including dragon flies and fireflies at night. You cross these via a beautiful wooden covered bridge and it's about a 15 minute walk (uphill but good path) to the old town walls and you enter into the most serene part of the town- the gardens and site of the old castle. The Pension itself is gorgeous, with cute outside tables to enjoy evening drinks or breakfast. The room we had was spacious and impeccably decorated with comfy bed, a great area for luggage, hanging jackets and clothes as well as a safe for valuables. The bathroom was also pristine with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was locally sourced, beautifully presented and tasty. We especially loved the bread rolls, jam and extras such as tomatoes, Cucumber and chives with the eggs. By far the most stand out part was Alex's hospitality. On arrival our clutch went in the car. Alex went above and beyond to help us find a garage and speak to mechanics as we speak no German. We are so grateful for this and wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to visit again in the future as Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the most beautiful place with friendly people.

United StatesOnly complaints (not big deal) My bed sheets had blood stains on them, just ask for new sheets if you have this problem. Wasnt a problem for me but if you are older or not as in shape, the walk to and from town is a bit like a hike.
It was very nice, it just depends what you prefer. Its an extremely cute quaint little farm feel. The staff is amazing, caring, & breakfast was incredible. Very cute feel, nice people, and family vibe.

LatviaThe place was really nice and clean. It wasn't new, but was very well-maintained. It is located outside the city in a very peaceful corner with just a couple houses and lots of greenery around. To get to the city center be prepared for a small hike uphill, walking slowly it took us around 15 minutes.
